Asus' family of 18-inch gaming laptops introduces the 2023 ROG Strix series and brings together advanced portable PCs. All models in the line combine characteristic gaming options, including an aggressive appearance and RGB backlit keyboard, and a powerful “filling” with a corresponding cooling system and a fairly capacious battery (90 Wh). The laptops received a large IPS display with a diagonal of 18 inches and a high “Hertz” resolution (depending on the modification, the maximum refresh rate is 165 or 240 Hz), support for adaptive video synchronization NVIDIA G-Sync, as well as decent color rendering indicators (coverage is declared in top configurations 100% DCI P3 space, and in those younger ones there is good sRGB coverage). Asus ROG Strix G18 2023 G814JU laptops have Intel Raptor Lake processors, including 14-core Core i7 or even more powerful Core i9 with 24 cores. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 discrete graphics card is invariably responsible for working with graphics - balanced acceleration with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory, support for ray tracing, Advanced Optimus and virtual reality technologies. Other features include 16 GB of DDR5 RAM with an operating frequency of 4800 MHz and the presence of another slot for upgrading to 32 GB. For data storage, all laptops in the line are equipped with solid-state drives (capacity up to 1 TB), provide effective cooling with 3 fans and a battery with fast charging and power supply via USB C (Power Delivery function). The Asus Aura Sync backlight synchronization function and 5 additional keys, acoustics with Dolby Atmos, the presence of a Thunderbolt v4 port and a Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) wireless module deserve special mention.
