A family of ultra-lightweight, high-performance ultrabooks from Asus featuring high-end 13-inch OLED screens. The display displays an image with a resolution of 2880x1800 pixels and a 6 Hz refresh rate, has a decent margin of brightness of 550 cd / m², the minimum required to display HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats. Full coverage of the DCI P3 color gamut and Pantone certification hint that such a display could be useful for photo, video and graphic content.
The display also has built-in filters to reduce eye strain during the working day. In addition to the use of OLED screens, another innovation was the transition to the new Intel Raptor Lake (13th generation) hardware platform. The essence of the new platform lies in the increased number of computing cores due to their division into 2 categories. Powerful P-cores are used during heavy workloads like games, rendering or archiving, and the rest of the party is hosted by energy-efficient E-cores, whose performance is enough for casual tasks like surfing the web, playing online videos and working with Google Docs.
Utilizing a state-of-the-art next-generation 10-core processor coupled with LPDDR5 RAM and fast NVMe SSDs, the Zenbook S 13 OLED Ultrabooks deliver impressive computing performance for both home and professional use. In addition, representatives of this series of laptops also have modern USB ports that support charging devices and connecting external monitors (up to two). They are also equipped with built-in biometric security and support all network protocols relevant for 2023, including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. For users who need constant conference calls, a Full HD webcam is provided. The built-in keyboard is adapted for many hours of typing and is protected by a special antibacterial coating. And the body of the laptop is made of shockproof aluminium-magnesium alloy grade MIL-STD-810. The device weighs 1kg and is only 12mm thick, making it a great option for on-the-go work.
