They stand out with record power even by the advanced standards of the ROG Zephyrus series: the computing power of the series is provided by a 13th generation 14-core Core i9 chip, which is complemented by 32/48 GB of fifth generation RAM and an NVMe SSD with support for the PCI-E 4.0 system interface.
Instead of GeForce 3XXX series graphics cards, fourth-generation models are used, including the flagship RTX 4090 modifications with 16 GB of video memory and a maximum TDP of 145 watts. The new generation of GeForce boasts a beefed-up hardware ray tracing system and a more sophisticated DLSS artificial scaling system, which can significantly increase the FPS counter when there is a shortage of system resources.
Hardware supports proprietary NVIDIA Optimus and Mux Switch technologies, which significantly affect laptop performance and battery life, allowing you to switch between discrete and integrated graphics on the fly. A completely new cooling system, adapted for the Ada Lovelace GPU, is responsible for cooling the filling. A pair of Arc Flow coolers with a curved impeller is responsible for the main airflow, the central and graphics processors are connected to the evaporation chamber, and liquid metal thermal paste is applied to the processor.
The ROG Zephyrus M16 display is based on a 16-inch miniLED-matrix with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels with a minimum response time (up to 3ms), an increased refresh rate of 240 Hz, support for HDR10 / Dolby Vision content and built-in Adaptive-Sync technology. In addition, the screen stands out for natural color reproduction (100% DCI P3 coverage, Pantone certified) and can be used for professional graphics and color correction.
Other features of the Zephyrus M16 include fast charging, dedicated RGB gaming keyboard, Wi-Fi 6 wireless module, Face ID camera, 4-speaker stereo system with Dolby Atmos, a rich set of interfaces, including HDMI 2.1 and USB 4 with Thunderbolt. With all that being said, the laptop's aluminium chassis weighs just 2.1kg and is 22mm thick. All this allows us to consider it as the ultimate mobile machine for next-gen gaming and the complex work of creating and processing copyrighted content, which requires extremely powerful hardware.
