The hoses are not connected on the side - the water tube does not block access to the RAM slots. The package includes thermal paste. Connecting just one wire to the motherboard is enough - everything is strict and concise. Some people may not like the design; it's clearly not for everybody. |
gigantic dimensions
Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 is a representative of a relatively new CBO form factor with a 420 mm radiator. On the one hand, such models are the most highly efficient, on the other hand, they are very demanding on the capacity of the PC case (the range of compatible cases is very limited).
An unexpected helper
The pump is equipped with a small fan, which is designed to solve the main drawback of dropsy compared to air coolers — to add airflow to the VRM area on the motherboard. The pump motor, small VRM fan and a trio of large fans are all controlled in sync.
Own development
Arctic P14 PWM branded turntables are based on a durable HDB bearing (Fluid Dynamic Bearing). Their speed of rotation is adjustable from generally indistinguishable by ear 200 rpm to a rather high 1700 rpm. The kit comes with the famous Arctic MX-4 thermal paste.
Digital change
But there is no paper booklet for assembly instructions — instead of it, a card with a QR code is enclosed. By clicking on the link, the user gets access to a much more convenient electronic manual that demonstrates the installation process in the form of a GIF animation. In addition, Arctic Drops come with the longest 6-year warranty on the market.

It was important that the tubes protrude from the top, not the side, as is often the case, so they don't interfere with the RAM. This cooling system has such a design.
Besides, it looks great, and is easy to install (I, doing this for the first time, assembled it without much trouble in about 15-20 minutes).
The processor temperature stays at a good level - around 50-60 degrees.
The famous micro-fan that cools the motherboard itself runs quietly. I can't say how well it actually cools the mobo, but let it work))
