Great camera, even for 2021. I installed Gcam by TheDise, and everything got even better. I cracked the screen in the summer of 2019, and there's a hole in it. I didn't repair it, and the phone has been completely submerged in water and snow several times. And everything still works perfectly. I installed an Android 11 firmware, and nothing glitches. After Android 12, I will buy a new phone since this one is already quite old. Over all this time, I can say that stock Android is really good and fast. Since I'm not an average user and a geek, I'm happy to say this phone is excellent! the video recording quality is very poor, especially at night, with a lot of noise and poor quality. The second camera module is completely unnecessary; I don't understand why the marketers came up with this idea at all. I haven't used this module and I don't even know what it's for. If it's for night shooting, then why, if there's a manual photo mode? |
Terrible phone. I worked more or less normally for about 3 months, and then I got really nervous. The phone lives its own life, constantly either freezing or opening everything with one touch. The camera worked well at first, but very quickly stopped focusing, almost all the photos were blurry. No NFS, no QR code scanner, which is not clear to me at all, older models had it. I don’t recommend it to anyone, I’m disappointed in xiomi. The camera worked well for the first few months. A very inconvenient phone. It quickly fell into disrepair. Either it is very slow or it opens everything. The proximity sensor hardly works; as they say, you can apply for a loan while talking with your ear. The model was released with very low reliability, so that after a year the buyer would throw it away and get a new phone. |
Good phone, pure Android (for those who like it), upgraded to Android 10 and really regretted it. The phone started glitching and freezing, the battery doesn't last, and the update is raw and boring, but a plus for the dark theme. The camera is quite good for the price. Battery, raw update, and glitches use Xiaomi Mi A2 64GB more than year |
Recently, one of the leaders in the Chinese market, Xiaomi, took an unprecedented step and launched smartphones with a pure version of Android. It is unprecedented because the path of Xiaomi did not begin with smartphones, but with an Android shell called MIUI, which largely copied the Apple operating system.
Ultra-thin body
The new Xiaomi Mi A2 is a strict, stylish and ultra-thin smartphone with excellent build quality. If he seems familiar to you, then this is not casual. In fact, this is the twin brother of the recent hit Mi6x with its thin bezels, widescreen display and missing bangs, which over the past year has managed to get pretty bored. And thanks to the rounded edges and an adequate weight of 168 g for such a diagonal, it fits comfortably in the hand.
Smartphone with pure Android
As you probably guessed, the main difference from Mi6x is the "pure" Android on board. In fact, this means that you will receive updates in a timely manner, and the smartphone itself will work more smoothly, since the system will not have dozens of unnecessary applications that the manufacturer has sewn. The flip side of the coin is the lack of some really useful MIUI features like handy gesture controls or flexible display calibration.
Large IPS display
The Mi A2 has a 6-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution (2160x1080 pixels). The aspect ratio is now fashionable 18:9. In fact, the screen is "frameless" and takes up most of the smartphone's facade, however, the smartphone does not feel super-thin or "borderless". Apparently, over the past year, models like the Samsung Galaxy S9 have managed to spoil us a little.
High operating speed
The smartphone is controlled by a bunch of hardware from an eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 (clocked at 2.2 GHz), 4 GB of RAM and an Adreno 512 graphics accelerator. As for the amount of memory, there are three options on the market: 32, 64 and 128 GB. The 128 GB version of the latter will also have 6 GB of RAM instead of 4. It is worth choosing the right stock carefully, since there is no slot for a memory card. In terms of speed and smoothness, Mi A2 leaves a purely positive impression, to make it slow down, you have to try.
Camera that surprises
The main camera in the smartphone is dual, and the main module has a resolution of 20 MP, and the auxiliary one has a resolution of 12 MP. The smartphone needs an additional camera, first of all, for portrait shooting. Usually, the camera is not something that is usually praised in a smartphone for $ 200, but in Mi A2 it can surprise both with the quality of photos and the ability to shoot video. Although, sometimes she lacks speed and she can strangely build an exposure.
fast charging
The smartphone has a 3010 mAh battery, which is enough for about a day and a half of "standard" use (calls, mail, social networks, music in moderation). Not to say that this is a lot, but the situation is brightened up by the fast charging that comes with the kit. Another important point that you definitely need to pay attention to is that Xiaomi Mi A2 does not have the usual 3.5 headphone jack, so it remains to use either Bluetooth or audio adapters for USB-C.
