Xiaomi Mi 9 64 GB
![]() | Outdated Product A premium smartphone, “charged”, as they say, to the maximum. Inside the glass case with a gradient-coloured back, Chinese engineers managed to place an uncompromising in terms of performance “iron” bundle of the 855th “dragon” from Qualcomm and 6 GB of RAM, which turns absolutely everything that comes to hand. The front part of Xiaomi Mi 9 64GB is provided with a Super AMOLED screen of 6.39-inch diagonal with support for displaying images in HDR10 high dynamic range and a high maximum brightness threshold of 600 cd/m². Here you can see the latest fashion peep — under-screen fingerprint scanner. The 20 MP selfie camera lens on the front panel blends harmoniously into the display's teardrop notch. From the rear, the smartphone is equipped with a triple photographic “clip” with a large-calib...er 48 MP sensor as the leader and auxiliary cameras of 12 MP (telephoto), as well as 16 MP (ultra-wide with a field of view of 117 °). The flagship's additional assets include an NFC chip and fast charging of a 3300 mAh battery (up to a full tank in 60 minutes at the outlet). The device lacks only a memory expansion slot and dust and water protection of the case. Been using it for 2 years and don't even consider anything new, fully satisfied in every aspect, very good phone. He is almost perfect if they would have put on some kind of high-powered display, it would have no competition! For example, my wife has a Samsung Note 10, in most cases, it's about the same, charges faster, photos are nearly on par, no worse, in some ways even better performance, I haven't seen it lag anywhere or anything like that, and it heats up less than the Note 10. The advantage of the Samsung is the display. Advertising in the firmware is the only downside in my opinion, I turned everything off but it's still there somewhere and appears, and probably the display too. use Xiaomi Mi 9 64GB more than year |
Conclusions: the phone is definitely good compared to the iPhone X, I personally tested the performance. Recommendations, if you like it, get the 6/128 or 8/128 Global version to avoid issues with NFC payments and firmware. Tips: buy a power bank because the battery drains while recording videos or playing games. You won't find such an honest review. Speed, processor power, screen, design, sound, depending on who I am as a regular user, is enough for me, and of course NFC and wireless charging Battery capacity of 3300 mA lasts for a day |
Decided to break free from the apple slavery and switch to Android, I wanted something useful yet affordable, naturally, I chose "Xiaomi" :) Initially, coming from iOS, the minor shortcomings of the MiUI interface caught my eye, like text not fitting or an icon out of place, but these are just small details and after about a week I stopped noticing them. In terms of specs, the smartphone is top-notch for its value (as is the case with most Xiaomi phones): the latest processor, plenty of RAM, a cool display (I'm quite convinced Amoled displays surpass IPS by far). With such specs, it's a shame for the smartphone to lag. I want to especially highlight the camera; it’s simply divine, photos are vivid and sharp, portraits have good blur, and the night mode is quite decent. Plus, you can install the Google camera which can further enhance photos in some situations. For games, if anyone is curious, it runs everything, doesn't overheat much (I don’t play games for long periods so I’m not sure about throttling), PABG, Call Of Duty, Tacticool run without issues. The battery holds up well, easily lasts a day with moderate use. The only downsides I can point out are the lack of memory expansion through microSD, a single mono speaker, and initially, the absence of a headphone jack was annoying since I used wired headphones that needed an adapter, it's inconvenient, too many wires, and all that ;). But then I bought Bluetooth headphones (also Xiaomi) and all the inconvenience vanished. + Powerful + Camera + Pleasant to the touch + Display + Fast wireless charging at 20W (haven't tried, but it's undoubtedly a plus) + Price +/- MiUI - Monodyna - Lack of a miniJack port (not a disadvantage for everyone) - No support for memory cards - No water resistance - +/- MiUI |
Ferrari at the price of a Volkswagen
At a current price of just under $400, the Xiaomi Mi 9 looks like the perfect smartphone for those buyers looking for a high-end mobile camera but who don't need a quantum computer in their pocket or bells and whistles like two-way wireless charging. Although "normal" wireless charging is available.
Pocket Photographer
A 48 MP 1/2" image sensor with f/1.75 aperture optics was assigned to the role of the leader in the "three-story" camera, and a telephoto lens with a 12 MP matrix and a 16 MP "wide" lens with a field of view angle of 117 degrees was provided to help him. released in early 2019, DxOMark experts called it the best in terms of video shooting (99 points according to test results). and concedes the first lines of the podium in the discipline "Mobile photography" to only a few camera phones from Huawei.
Colorful Super AMOLED screen and powerful hardware
The device received a glass body with metal frames and a 6.4-inch high-quality Super AMOLED display with HDR10 support. It has a waterdrop notch with a 20 MP front camera, as well as Full HD + resolution with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. Under the hood of the device, the flagship Snapdragon 855 is installed, working in combination with the Adreno 640 and 6 GB graphics core. The amount of internal memory is only 64 GB and it cannot be increased with a memory card, however, modifications with an increased amount of memory can be found on the market. With the exception of memory, iron here is the golden mean. It pulls everything for a sweet soul, has a margin of safety for the future, and there is nothing superfluous. Let's be honest, why would anyone need 12 GB of RAM in a smartphone today?
Fast and wireless charging
The additional assets of Xiaomi Mi 9 have a full set of communication modules, including an infrared port and an NFC chip, as well as a newfangled under-screen fingerprint scanner. There are only a couple of cons. The 3300 mAh battery looks frivolous even by the standards of smartphones for a hundred rubles and its ceiling is a day of work with relatively active use. PowerBank in the pocket of the bag will not be superfluous. And the main mono speaker is not particularly impressive in sound quality. Especially against the background of OnePlus 7 Pro and S10 Plus with their powerful and bright stereo speakers. Well, the water protection of the case would not hurt. But all this is more than offset by the price. Throw a little more and get a Ferrari for the price of a Volkswagen.
