Wonderful headphones for those who lead an active lifestyle. Long battery life, pleasant sound and comfortable fit, everything speaks in favor of this model. Design, sound no |
I don't know why everyone praises them so much, yes, I agree, they fit comfortably in the ears, the noise cancellation is good, the sound quality is excellent, BUT THEY ARE VERY QUIET, really quiet, I like to listen to music at full blast "to rock it" and these headphones can't give me that, now I'm selling them and will buy regular AirPods, I listened to my girlfriend's, the sound is a bit worse but MUCH louder. Noise reduction, sound quality Quiet use Sony WF-1000XM3 month or more i recommend it don't buy |
The money paid for the headphones is not small, so I expected at least good sound quality from them. I'll try it in order, from smallest to largest. The scope of delivery is impressive. A bunch of ear pads, half soft, the other half hard. The earbuds themselves are rubber. Quality materials, plastic does not look cheap. The charging station looks rich, beautiful, one might say stylish. But the plastic is painted, so after a week scratches began to appear. Therefore, I bought myself a bag (for headphones, but I put the docking station there). I can not say that they are 100% perfect in the ear. They are slightly heavy, but not too critical. They don't fall out of my ears, at least they didn't fall out of me. I really liked the noise canceller. It really works, because in noisy places I hear the music, and not the noise from outside. Of course it doesn't work like I'm in a closed room, but I don't have to strain to listen to music. Now for the most important thing: the sound. The sound is good, but not perfect. There is a built-in enhancer that makes the music a little deeper, adds bass. Left it on. High frequencies in quality do not reach the good ones, I would say that they are normal. Medium and low are better, probably I will say that they are good. In general, I'm satisfied. There is a very useful feature that I discovered already during operation: when you listen to music and take out one of the headphones, it pauses the song. There are touch buttons. but to be honest, not very comfortable. I rely more on phone control. Sufficient sound quality (for the money). Large set of ear pads. High quality charging station. By the way, it charges very quickly. If you put the earpiece for 15 minutes, then you can listen to music for two hours. The laying process itself is something special, because when you put the earpiece into the station, the magnet attracts it and collapses in its socket with a pleasant sound. Seems expensive and reliable. Excellent noise cancellation. Cool function to turn off the music if you take out one of the headphones. Their autonomy is also good, more than 5 hours. But the only time I listened for so long was when I was on the bus to Poland. A little heavy, IMHO. The docking station should have been made of metal, as plastic scratches quickly. |
Sony is back in the big game
In recent years, Sony's headphone market has not been doing well, but with the advent of active noise-canceling headphones, the Japanese have made some kind of hyper leap in quality. If they already had complete order with the sound quality, then the noise reduction system of top models like the XM3 or 1000XM3 tore to shreds the competitors represented by Bose, JBL and the rest.
Reference Noise Reduction
The trick is that Sony engineers took the processor tested on full-size headphones and miniaturized it. This is not just a 24-bit DAC, it is designed for a specific model and microphone layout. At the output, this gave active noise cancellation almost like in older models. In the office, they completely isolate from external sounds, in the air they reliably cut off street noise, and in the subway, the sound of wheels only slightly breaks through the general background. Further more: using the Sense Engine setting in the mobile application, the headphones will be able to determine what you are doing at the moment (walking, sitting, driving in transport) and adjust the noise reduction mode to what is happening. Switching works neatly and smoothly, that you do not pay attention to it at all.
Comfortable fit in the ears and high-quality sound
Of the frank disadvantages of the model, we single out a giant charging case that does not fit in any pocket. Although, the case itself with magnetic clasps looks cool and is designed in the same colour as the headphones themselves. Also, the 1000XM3 doesn't have any water or sweat protection, it's not a sports model and it wasn't meant to be. Otherwise, these are top-end headphones that cost decent money, fit perfectly in your ears, isolate from external noise like no other, and also please with high (but not perfect) sound quality and battery life.
