An improved version of the famous Sony MDR-1A over-ear headphones. It features improved sound quality and higher comfort. The product of the 2018 model year is positioned as a model of the upper price category, designed for demanding users. A number of advanced technical solutions are implemented in the design of the headphones. New ultra-lightweight 40mm aluminium-coated liquid-crystal polymer film drivers deliver crisp, detailed sound.

Moreover, medium and high frequencies are especially well reproduced, which distinguishes this model from the abundance of products with excessively accentuated bass. A special Fibonacci-patterned grille protects the speakers of the Sony MDR-1AM2 headphones and reduces loss in Hi-Res audio playback. Comes with two detachable cables for balanced professional and unbalanced home connections. They have a low impedance resistance (16 Ohm), which allows them to be used with low-power output stages of amplifying the audio frequency of modern gadgets (smartphones, tablets, ultrabooks). They have a small mass, completely comfortable for long-term wear.
