Additional features mobile phone Nokia 6500 Slide:
  • Stainless steel body
Short description:

Nokia 6500 Slide is a functional phone with a good camera and support for both GSM and 3G. And his appearance is quite universal - you can expect that such a design will not become outdated in six months.

Specifications.
  • There are actually two Nokia 6500 phones. Firstly, this is the Classic variant - a monoblock that differs from the Slide both externally and functionally. However, the style of both phones echoes quite distinctly.
  • Unlike the Classic, the 6500 Slide phone is made not in aluminium-plastic, but in an honest strong stainless steel case. In addition to steel, black glossy plastic is used, but there is relatively little of it. Even the battery cover is made of steel. There is only one version of the case - black and silver, classic and it is not known whether others will be produced.
  • The slider opens easily with one hand. The keys are extremely comfortable - this applies to all their types. As in the Nokia 6500 Classic, the company for some reason decided not to use a separate on/off button, but, like most manufacturers, transferred this function to the end call key. The backlighting of the keys is white and, a special touch, it does not always work. In a good way. There is a special sensor that turns off the backlight during the day / in well-lit rooms.
  • All connectors are located on the top panel - this is a 2.5 mm headphone input, and a TV-out (it will be discussed a little later) and microUSB (it is not clear why Nokia has begun to introduce this type of connector now - cables and other equipment to it's still hard to find). In addition, there is a separate socket for connecting the charger. It is noteworthy that in the 6500 Classic all connections are made via the same microUSB. Without wires, you can connect with other devices only via Bluetooth version 2.0.
  • The display of Nokia 6500 Slide has a diagonal of 2.2` and a resolution of 240x320 pixels. More than 16 million shades of colours are displayed. In general, for a modern phone, the characteristics are quite ordinary. The display could even be brighter. It is protected by a layer of plastic (there is no protection in the Classic model. Slide is generally noticeably stronger).
  • User-accessible memory is only 20 megabytes. For a phone with a high-quality player and a good camera, this indicator is not just modest, but even miserable. But keep in mind that the 6500 Slide has a slot for microSD cards - it is quite possible to install a card for a couple of gigabytes. The only inconvenient thing is that there is a slot under the battery cover.
  • There is also an FM radio. A small drawback - it only works with connected headphones - they are used instead of an antenna. Accordingly, radio transmissions are 'not caught' without headphones.
  • An unusual feature that makes the player somewhat similar to an iPod-type gadget - there is a TV-out for playing video, viewing pictures on the TV screen. On the TV, ordinary RCA tulips are used to connect, it is possible to view MPEG-4 and H.264 files.
Camera:
  • The camera in the Nokia 6500 Slider is really good. Some bluntly claim that this is the same `iron` that is used in the Nokia N73 - `multimedia computer`. Anyway, there is a sensor with a resolution of 3.2 megapixels, Carl Zeiss optics are used and autofocus works.
  • The flash consists of two LEDs. This is not `xenon`, but the phone is not a full-fledged camera. Anyway, the image quality is normally quite acceptable for such a resolution.
  • Video recording is supported in H.264 (3GP) or MPEG-4 formats. The maximum possible resolution when shooting is up to VGA, that is, 640x480 pixels. Recording speed when shooting in MPEG-4 – 15 frames / sec.
  • In addition to the main camera, there is an additional one - for video calls in 3G networks. It is located on the front panel to the right of the speech speaker. It is not suitable for shooting self-portraits - the opportunity is simply not provided.
  • Comes with software including Adobe Photoshop. Your phone supports PictBridge, which allows you to transfer photos directly to a compatible printer without a computer.
