The Collector's Edition of the signature Nintendo Pro Controller, designed in the style of the role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 2, features thematic graphics with project symbols on the body and Home button. The Pro Controller model is considered by Switch owners as an alternative to the standard Joy-Con for those who primarily play in docked mode and prefer the classic large gamepad form factor. The Xenoblade Chronicles 2 color scheme is especially valued by collectors and fans of the series, as it was released in a limited edition. The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Edition offers a familiar layout with asymmetric sticks, a 4-way D-pad, two bumpers, and two triggers — 12 buttons in total. The grip surface is coated with a rubberized texture, ens...uring the controller doesn't slip during extended gaming sessions. Inside, it features a built-in gyroscope and accelerometer for motion control, HD Rumble technology (precise vibration), and an Amiibo scanner near the Home button. It connects to the console via Bluetooth 3.0. The model also recognizes Windows PCs as a standard gamepad through Steam or third-party utilities. It is powered by a 1300 mAh lithium battery that provides up to 40 hours of gaming on a single charge, significantly outperforming most competitors. Charging is done via a USB-C port on the top edge — the cable is included with the console or can be purchased separately.

How to Choose a Gaming ControllerChoosing a gamepad is not just a purchase, but an investment in comfort and enjoyment of games.
Model overview based on user reviews
The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is praised for its excellent ergonomics, offering a comfortable grip that many find superior to the PS4 and Xbox One controllers. It features high-quality construction with a matte, non-slip plastic finish and precise button feedback. The controller includes large, comfortable sticks and a new generation HD rumble vibration, enhancing the gaming experience. It supports Amiibo and charges via a universal USB-C cable, with a long battery life of up to 40 hours. However, it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, which some users find inconvenient for gaming on TV without disturbing others. Additionally, the ZL and ZR buttons are not triggers, which some users expected for the price. Despite these drawbacks, it is recommended for those playing on Nintendo Switch, especially on TV, due to its superior comfort compared to JoyCons.
Pros

Cons

Convenient, but expected more.

No distinctive features relative to the JoyCon, just a classic form factor. Think for yourself whether you need it.
Built better than other Nintendo "products".
There are no triggers, ZL and ZR are buttons. In other words, they have no positions other than pressed and not pressed. For that kind of money I would like triggers like all normal gamepads.
