I was looking for a phone for work, considering a bunch of options, checked out phones from 2022, and decided to go for something new with modern software. I chose the Moto G14. I decided to ignore the processor choice because at this price point, all phones offer similar options that don't particularly stand out, especially since the phone is purely for messaging and the like. So far, I'm completely satisfied with the phone's speed.
Moving on to the battery. I've been using the phone for 2 months. During this time, the phone serves as a sort of navigator device. Music is played through AUX in the car. Mobile data is used. The navigator and GPS are on. The screen is at full brightness and constantly on. The charge lasts from morning until evening, and I come home with about 20% battery left. In my opinion, this is impressive.
Price. A very solid budget phone. It's not meant for gaming, but it handles other tasks quite well.
Screen. Bright, but nothing special.
Camera. No comments needed, the camera is quite poor. Suitable for taking pictures of documents. Taking beautiful landscapes or photos for social media is a definite no-go.
Body. Very stylish and nice. Feels good in the hand. Makes you want to use it without a case.
4/5, but considering we're comparing low-price segment phones. The Moto definitely can't compete with a $300 phone, but for everyday tasks, it works great as a second backup phone.
The phone is fast and doesn't lag. It charges to 100% in about an hour. The camera takes decent pictures in good lighting. The screen is bright, making it comfortable to use outside even in sunny weather. The sound quality is average, with stereo being a bit conditional since the earpiece is used as the top speaker.
The price at the time of purchase, quite a decent camera, fast charging (even though the specifications only state 10 watts), fast performance.
After updating to 14, Android started to drain and heat up faster
Sasha Garbar: use Motorola Moto G14 128GB more than year
I liked everything: the menu, the sound, the screen, even the camera, although it's said to be simple. Tactilely pleasant, I used it without a case.
But exactly one year after using it, the battery started to heat up a lot in just one day. A 100% charge lasted for 4 hours. I went to a repair shop, and they say they have nothing to replace it with. That's it, I'm looking for a new phone :(
