They differ from ordinary consumer models in a durable and practical body made of ABS plastic and aluminium. It meets the basic requirements of the American military standard MIL-STD-810G in terms of mechanical strength and guarantees the integrity of the structure when dropped from a height of up to 1 m. It is also worth noting the moisture resistance of the trackpoint keyboard (full protection against spillage of liquids) and the presence of a hardware cryptographic module TPM 2.0, necessary for reliable encryption of user data and traffic in corporate networks. The main difference between Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 AMD laptops and ThinkPad E15 models is the use of the AMD Ryzen hardware platform, which includes 4/6/8-core processors of the Ryzen 4000 family (Zen2 microarchitecture, Renoir core, 7 nm). They work in conjunction with 8/16 GB DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 24 GB) and an NVMe SSD drive (an M.2 connector is provided for installing a second SSD). The processor-integrated AMD Radeon Vega 5/6/7 graphics core provides a base level of 3D performance and is capable of hardware-accelerated video decoding. GbE LAN and Wi-Fi 6 modules are provided for work in cable or wireless networks.
