Vibration Resistant

Kioxia Exceria SATA is a classic 2.5" SATA SSD that replaces traditional hard drives. Unlike HDDs, the drive is insensitive to vibrations, magnetic fields, and temperature fluctuations. An additional advantage is its metal casing, which appears more reliable than plastic alternatives. The model is an excellent choice for additional data storage, especially if the motherboard is equipped with only one M.2 slot but has several SATA ports available.

Proprietary Memory Manufacturing

The Kioxia brand is a successor of the semiconductor division of the Japanese company Toshiba, spun off into a separate business. The company independently produces flash memory at its facilities in Yokkaichi and Kitakami. Kioxia BiCS TLC memory chips are used not only in the brand's SSDs but also in drives from other brands, including Goodram. In the European market, the interests of the Japanese manufacturer are represented by the Polish company Goodram.

Proprietary Software

The drive offers sequential read speeds of up to 555 MB/s and write speeds of up to 540 MB/s, with random operation performance reaching 88,000 IOPS. After filling the virtual SLC cache, the write speed naturally decreases, and the device needs some time to restore its maximum performance. The Kioxia SSD Utility allows users to monitor the drive's status and install firmware updates.
