Huawei Y5p 32 GB / 2 GB
Videos 8Photos 10 | Outdated Product $469.00 A small smartphone (relative to the lion's share of peers) from the initial division of mobile devices. The model was equipped with a 5.45-inch diagonal screen with visible frames at the top and bottom. But without cutouts, thanks for that. The substrate for the display of the smartphone was an IPS-matrix of HD + format, the picture on which is broadcast at a maximum resolution of 1440x720 pixels. The pace of work Huawei Y5p sets the eight-core processor MediaTek Helio P22. The amount of memory on board the model was distributed in the ratio of 2 GB of RAM against 32 GB of ROM. The super-tasks of such a “iron” are too tough, but in everyday life it does not let us down. Another important point is the lack of a Google services gadget in the stock firmware. In return, the handset comes prelo...aded with the Huawei AppGallery. The photographic side of the issue of the smartphone is revealed by a pair of cameras on the “sirloin” side of the body with an 8 MP module as the host and a 5 MP front camera (supports the Face Unlock function). Ultra-low-cost solution
Sanctions and various bans imposed by the US government, of course, greatly frayed the nerves and undermined the position of the Chinese company Huawei in the smartphone market, but the main thing still cannot be taken away from it — the ability to produce high-quality handsets. Before us is an ultra-low-cost smartphone that has everything you need for its price segment and even more. Of course, for a price tag below $ 100, do not expect the impossible from the model, so the device is more suitable for primary school children and older users, that is, mainly for calls, instant messengers and searching for the necessary information on the network. It looks appropriate: a plastic case and fairly wide bezels around the screen. And although the display itself is small (5.45"), these very frames occupy a considerable part of the usable area, so the dimensions of the device were 146.5x70.9x8.4 mm. But the device weighs a little (144 g) and fits comfortably in the hand, and the IPS display boasts a good supply of brightness. In addition, opponents of cutouts will appreciate the frames — they are not here, and the front camera and speaker are located at the top.
The design of the main camera is controversial: for the sake of it, they made a square block on the back panel in the style of the iPhone 12, but there is only one sensor here — 8-megapixel. The rest of the place was taken by a flash and a microphone disguised as another module. You won’t get good photos, and even more so videos — the camera just takes pictures, and that’s it. So if the photo capabilities of a smartphone play an important role for you, it’s better not to save money and fork out for a better model.
With Mediatek processor but without Google services
Huawei Y5p uses the Mediatek Helio P22 processor as a basis, and it works, surprisingly, quite quickly. But this is only under normal load — you should not set several tasks at the same time and try to run heavy games. There is not much memory here — 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM, but there is a separate slot for a microSD memory card up to 512 GB. That is, you don’t have to choose between it and the second SIM card. A small 3020 mAh battery is installed inside, one charge of which should be enough for a day, or even two. There is no fast charging (and no one hoped), so it will take about 3 hours at the outlet to fully restore energy. The fingerprint scanner is also missing, and instead, the face recognition software function is responsible for security.
And for dessert — the main drawback of the device. Due to all the same sanctions, Google services are not here. Instead, the manufacturer offers a branded AppGallery store, which is rapidly developing and constantly updated with new applications, but not yet up to Google Play.
