The flagship, originally from Taiwan, is ready to compete with the best smartphones of 2017 and is trying to do everything in order to strengthen HTC's position in the mobile gadgets market.
Two displays
"Dandy" with a spectacular, but not practical from the point of view of visibility of the slightest traces of fingerprints, a glass backdrop instantly catches the eye of the public on his person. The "colleague" of a smartphone with a storage capacity of 128 GB is completely enclosed in a ceramic case. However, the most interesting thing is on the front panel — in addition to the huge main display with a diagonal of 5.7 "and QuadHD-resolution, the device is equipped with a 2-inch additional display for displaying service notifications. It shows the current time and date, as well as notifications, information from the calendar and reminders.
Powerful hardware
Powerful and performant hardware is suitable for solving the vast majority of resource-intensive tasks. The smartphone is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip, supplemented with 4 GB of RAM and Adreno 530 graphics. During prolonged intense loads, a bunch of electronic components can heat up the device case, which is “treated” by briefly turning off the screen.
Musical component
According to the fashion set by "apple" mobile gadgets, the smartphone has lost its 3.5 mm headphone jack. But if the Apple iPhone 7 is justified by the presence of water protection, then the HTC U Ultra does not have one. To compensate for the lack of a port, the manufacturer put headphones with a USB Type-C connector in a box with a smartphone and equipped its brainchild with Hi-Res Audio support.
Flagship Attributes
Only good things can be said about the photo and video capabilities of the device. So, the main 12-megapixel camera does an excellent job of taking photos and recording videos in 4K both in daylight and in poor visibility conditions, and a selfie module with a resolution of 16 MP helps to get good self-portraits. In addition, the gadget carries on board all the main attributes of a modern smartphone — a complete set of wireless modules (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC), a responsive fingerprint scanner and fast battery charging technology (up to 80% per hour at the outlet). All this together makes it possible to confidently call HTC U Ultra a real flagship.
