An anti-vandal mobile gadget with a performant “hardware” on board is not a myth, but a Doogee S60 smartphone, which has acquired a good set of electronic components and is able to withstand any test (within reason, of course). The device calmly tolerates exposure to high temperatures, is not afraid of falls, maintains its performance in frost and can come out of the water dry. The 5.2-inch display of the "SUV" produces a picture at a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, showing natural colour reproduction. One of the key features of the device can be called the performant MediaTek Helio P25 chipset, combined with a win-win combination of 6/64 GB memory. In case, if the volume of the built-in storage is not enough, the smartphone has a hybrid SIM + SIM / microSD slot. Also, the Chinese manufact...urer did not stint on the camera, equipping its offspring with 21 MP with the main photomodule with f/2.0 aperture. The selfie camera of the model is traditionally simpler — its role is played by an 8 MP sensor without autofocus. The list of advantages of the smartphone continues with a long battery life — it is not without reason that a capacious 5580 mAh battery is installed in the bowels of the device case, and even with support for fast charging technology. Finally, the icing on the cake is the NFC.

I'll take a second one just like it, even though it's an old Android. Exactly this model.
1 December 2020
2.5 years of use. The fingerprint refused the other day, it started to slow down after two years. I swam in bleach, in the sea, in the toilet, fell from the second floor and sank into the ground like a shovel. Fell on tiles, asphalt, 1.5 meters high. His life was not easy. But you can live without a finger. With the Internet, use is 24 hours, without - 2 days, even after two years. Charges in an hour. I haven’t taken any wireless chargers and can’t see them. Plays any game, there is enough memory for everything you need. Most likely it started to lag due to a bunch of games online, I played for days on end. It’s too heavy for a girl, but at least they can fight back if something happens - it doesn’t seem like enough. The translation of the interface is clumsy in Chinese, but I installed English and everything became clear. I turned off the Sos button because a wild signal went on in my pocket and at work everyone fell to the floor from fear. In general, the buttons are delicate, but you get used to them quickly.
Battery is fire
RAM 6GB super, handles everything
Doesn't break, doesn't sink in the toilet or chlorine
Can be used to fend off a robber
The sensor failed after 2.5 years.
The body got slightly damaged from asphalt.
Weight - dropped on foot - was very painful.
Hasn't been updated in a long time.
The alarm occasionally lags, once a month. Or maybe I'm just a heavy sleeper.

If you want to take an out-of-date device from a Chinese brand, take it
20 May 2020
I’ve been using it for a little over a year now, I don’t really recommend taking it
There is some protection, although not much. Initially, the performance was good (I didn't use benchmarks, I'm judging by my personal feeling). Seems like everything is fine.
During the time I've used it, performance has significantly dropped, with lags starting around 3-4 months in, and now it's probably as bad as it can get (though I don't have apps that heavily slow down the device, and I use very little RAM). The processor heats up even when idle, and with even a small load, it's like you could fry an egg on it. The Russian localization is terrible; sometimes I read such nonsense... Security updates and Android updates haven't been released since around 2017. The phone is not that durable (I didn't purposely drop it, of course, but it fell a couple of times, and I have something to say. Yes, I understand that IP68 is not an indicator of drop protection, but from a chunk of metal weighing nearly 300 grams, I would expect more). After these drops, there were chips on the casing. After dropping it in the snow and searching for it (the temperature was about -5, and I looked for it for two or three minutes), some pixels stopped working correctly. The dimensions are large, heavy, and inconvenient. The screen-to-body ratio is off; the body is large, but the display is small.

Pretty good for the money, but only for tourists or extreme sports.

An excellent phone for its price, very pleased with the presence of an NFC chip in a rugged tourist phone, but in other countries an IR port would be very useful, as many things are controlled precisely by it. The IP68 protection type also pleased, but the dust protection seems a bit overestimated to me, while the water resistance is at a good level, heavy rains, puddles, nothing is a problem. To sum up, the phone performs excellently for its 8k UAH price. As for the Gorilla Glass, I'm not sure, some say it has it, others say it's not on this model, but the phone has fallen several times from one and two-meter heights, and no significant damage was noticed apart from scratches, except that the phone simply turned off.
NFC chip, speed and moisture protection. Excellent camera.
Dustproof, no IR port for the money, long connection (over 1.5-2 minutes to GPS satellites)

Cheap protection

The Chinese manufacturer traditionally pleases with insanely packed hardware, but at the same time at a decent price. Doogee S60 is a rugged smartphone, not only waterproof and dustproof according to IP68 standard, but also resistant to drops due to a reinforced case, which even needs to be disassembled to insert a SIM card. The bad thing is that the microUSB connector is recessed into the case very deeply, and only original accessories will fit the smartphone. You should pay attention to this when buying.

Strong enough

And there are surprisingly few compromises in quality — a display with an IPS matrix, Full HD resolution, 5.2-inch diagonal and PPI 423. The display-to-body ratio is only 56%, but you should not expect refinement from secure devices. But there is enough power — an eight-core system on a Helio P25 chip with frequencies up to 2.5 GHz and 6 GB of RAM is enough for stable operation and even unpretentious games. Smartphone performance in AnTuTu — 61495 points. Built-in memory 64 GB, support for memory cards is available, but through a combined tray for SIM-cards.

Many pixels

The main camera of the device has a resolution of as much as 21 MP, equipped with a Sony IMX230 sensor, digital stabilization and HDR support. The front camera has a resolution of 8 MP. We note the slow autofocus, but in general the quality of shooting is decent.

Low-cost worker with temper

Doogee S60 is equipped with an NFC chip, which is rare for low-cost devices. An even greater rarity is wireless charging, and the device has it. However, the battery capacity of 5580 mAh makes it of little use, albeit a pleasant addition. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1 with a proprietary Freeme OS shell. It has almost no unnecessary applications, with the exception of programs for an active lifestyle, but Russian localization is not the best.
