One of the most affordable models of dual-band wireless routers (routers) of the AC750 class with support for Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) networks and four LAN ports with a bandwidth of up to 100 Mbps. The manufacturer is positioning itself as a product of the basic price category, intended for use in a small city apartment, a private house or a small office with a small number of stationary PCs (up to four pcs). The hardware configuration of the D-Link DIR-806A/B1 router uses a Realtek RTL8881 network processor, which includes a 5 GHz radio module and a Fast Ethernet class network switch. It is paired with the RTL8192 chip responsible for network support in the 2.4 GHz band. Three antennas with a gain of 5 dBi provide an impressive coverage area in both bands. Support for 2x2 MIMO multi-streaming...technology provides peak data rates up to 300/433 Mbps (2.4/5 GHz). Such performance is quite enough for routing high-quality streaming video, IPTV broadcasting, operational operation of cloud services and file-sharing networks, gaming and other household/office tasks. The router is able to work in repeater modes, amplifying the Wi-Fi signal to increase the coverage area. Works correctly with VPN traffic. Easy to set up, which can be done by the user himself.
