Design

First of all, the multimedia solution from Benq draws attention to itself by the lack of frames on the sides of the screen. The display coating is matte and will not collect glare, but the back of the monitor has a glossy structure. It looks stylish and interesting. The only downside is the lack of a VESA mount, because of which the monitor cannot be hung on the wall. All kinds of ports for connecting external devices are located on the back of the leg at an angle of 90 ° from the usual position (ie, located vertically). There are few of them: 2 HDMI (one of which is combined with MHL), 1 analogue VGA and a headphone output. An MHL cable is included, while HDMI will have to be purchased separately.

Screen

The screen has a FullHD resolution and is built on the basis of a fast AMVA + type matrix. The response time from grey to grey does not exceed 4 ms, and the total response time is 12 ms. The display boasts an excellent contrast ratio of 3000:1, in dynamic mode — 20000000:1. The WLED backlight evenly illuminates the screen surface, allowing viewing at angles up to 178°. Additionally, in the monitor menu, which is called by the touch keys, there is a mode intended for reading (Low Blue Light). Its activation reduces the blue spectrum by 70%, which significantly reduces eye strain.

The manufacturer positions its offspring as a universal solution for movies, games and office applications. Many also recommend the monitor for simple graphics and video editing. But the narrow sRGB colour space (about 82%) does not allow us to consider the device as a full-fledged working tool for a designer or video editor.
