Model overview based on user reviews
The Audio-Technica ATH-AVC500 headphones are designed with a full-size Over-Ear style and feature headband auto-adjustment, making them comfortable for users with average-sized heads. They connect via a 3-meter cable with mini-Jack and Jack options, suitable for both professional audio equipment and mobile devices. With a frequency range of 10–25,000 Hz, these headphones emphasize mids and highs, making them ideal for classical music and vocal-centric genres, but less suitable for bass-heavy music like Deep House or techno. Users appreciate the lack of frequency imbalance and find them excellent for movies and gaming, although some note that the sound feels centered and lacks a "kick." The headphones are durable, but the headband's material may wear over time. While they offer good sound reproduction, they may not satisfy audiophiles seeking high-quality music listening. Overall, the ATH-AVC500 is a solid choice for general use, especially for gaming and multimedia, but may not meet the expectations of those seeking a more musical experience.

Cons

I do not recommend.

We need to look for something more musical...
Everything is fine, but it doesn't have a "kick".
All the music sounds in the center of the head (Xiaomi Mi5, Chinese DAC, Hewlit Packart laptop (does not write this combination in Latin) ProBook 4720s). I don't recommend it.

Those who want to listen to music and enjoy the sound must purchase more expensive copies of this company.
No frequency imbalance.
Gentlemen, these are headphones for use on a computer, i.e. movies, games and all that. Yes, the hearing is not tired by harsh tones. But! They are not suitable for high-quality listening to music. I connected them directly to the Marantz 6004 CD player. They don’t play, but reproduce sound! The top of the headboard has completely peeled off over the course of a year.

Design features

The Audio-Technica ATH-AVC500 headphones have a resistance of 40 Ohms, which allows you to connect them to both professional audio equipment and mobile devices. For this purpose, a 3.5 mm connector with a gold-plated adapter for 6.35 mm is provided. The cable is non-detachable, which can create some inconvenience during operation. The model stands out for its stylish and brutal design with two metal arcs, giving it the appearance of studio equipment. Full-size cups automatically adjust to the shape of the head and are equipped with soft ear pads made of eco-leather. The reversible spring in the headband allows you to adjust the height, but can create excess pressure on the ears when stretched. The headphones are best suited for users with an average-sized head, although people with a large build may find them a bit tight.

Special frequency balance

The Audio-Technica ATH-AVC500 sound has a specific balance and may not be suitable for all genres. Despite the wide frequency range (10–25,000 Hz), the emphasis is on the mids and highs, while the lows are not so pronounced. This makes the headphones not the best choice for fans of genres with an emphasis on deep bass, such as Deep House, New Metal and techno. But the model perfectly reveals vocal parts and subtle musical accents, creating the effect of surround sound and long echo, which makes it ideal for classical music and gothic rock with choral and orchestral accompaniment (for example, Nightwish, Metal Wings, Imperial Age). The headphones are also well suited for pop music, retro genres with backing vocals, and also have gaming potential, allowing you to accurately determine the position of enemies in shooters. Frequency characteristics make them convenient for watching movies and rehearsing on musical instruments with a combo amplifier. All these features are available at a very affordable price.
