The first-born in the line of gaming monitors of the Agon line is “dressed” in a characteristic gaming “suit”, combining a black body colour with red “wings” on its back. The model uses a high-resolution pseudo-8-bit TN-panel (2560x1440 pixels) with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. The absence of tearing and freezing of the picture is also achieved through Adaptive-Sync technology, which is compatible with AMD FreeSync in the range of 30-144 Hz (only works in tandem with Radeon video cards). Gamers will like game presets, AOC AG271QX equipment with headphone and microphone jacks, USB ports (including support for fast charging of compatible gadgets) and the availability of a full range of connection interfaces (VGA, DVI-D, Display) in the arsenal of the model port and H...DMI). The monitor stand allows you to adjust the height and angle of the screen, and the height position is marked on a special scale. Additional equipment of the model provides the possibility of hanging the monitor on the wall (using a VESA 100x100 mm mount) and the presence of a headphone holder in the design.

All  specifications

The 27-inch monitor representing the AGON line received an aluminium V-shaped stand. It provides stability to the panel, as well as wide adjustment options: changing the height, tilt and rotation angle, changing the orientation to portrait. There is also a wall mounting option (VESA 100x100mm).

The back of the case is decorated with designer "wings" of red colour. At the back is a swivel headphone holder, built-in 6W speakers and the widest range of interfaces. For image output, VGA, DVI-D, Display Port and 2 HDMI are provided, including one with MHL support. There are also headphone and microphone outputs, a USB hub with 4 ports (one with a quick charge function when connecting smartphones).

The set includes the main connection cables, a control panel for selecting modes without calling the menu.

Clear picture and fast response

The AOC AG271QX TN-matrix has limited viewing angles, but has a Quad HD (2560x1440) resolution. The pixel density of the 27-inch screen is 0.23 mm, so the level of image detail is up to par. The monitor supports a frame rate of 144 Hz and is characterized by a minimum response time (1 ms). Such parameters are the key to a smooth video sequence in game battles.

The disadvantages of the picture include the presence of highlights, which are clearly visible in dark scenes, which is associated with a low contrast ratio (1000: 1) and the specifics of TN + Film. But the brightness level of 350 cd / m2 is enough to eliminate the negative effects of glare. This also contributes to the matte finish of the screen.

Supported technologies

AOC AG271QX supports AMD FreeSync technology, which synchronizes the frame rate of the input signal and the monitor. Flicker-Free (eliminates flicker) and Low Blue Light (minimizes blue) will take care of eye protection.

Exclusive technologies of the manufacturer are also provided. So, Shadow Control eliminates shadows by correcting brightness and contrast, which can be useful in shooters. And Low Input Lag contributes to additional acceleration of response and increased responsiveness in games.

The AOC AG271QX monitor has a wide range of additional options and features that will be useful to both gamers and other users. Given the reasonable price, certain flaws caused by the TN-matrix do not look critical and make the model a very interesting solution.
