Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 14 2022

The latest generation of ultrabooks from Redmi, which the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi announced in the spring of 2023. Unlike most models of the previous generation, which belonged to the entry level, this family belongs to the purebred middle class, boasts moderately powerful hardware, modern equipment and a “proprietary” design, purely copied from the Apple MacBook. In terms of hardware in RedmiBook Pro 14, 2 configuration options are most common: the simpler modification is based on the 12th generation hybrid 8-core Core i5 processors, which are complemented by 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD drive and a GeForce MX550 discrete graphics card. In a more powerful variation of the Redmibook, a 10-core Core i7 is usually used, the storage capacity is 512 GB, and either a discrete GeForce MX550 or an integrated Intel UHD Xe can be used as a video card. Such hardware will be useful in a variety of areas - from engineering and writing code, to conferencing, multimedia entertainment and professional work with audio or video content. In the latter case, it is worth noting an excellent 14-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels (16:10 aspect ratio), a refresh rate increased to 120 Hz, and high-quality factory color calibration (100% sRGB coverage). The screen boasts Rheinland certification for low blue light emissions and reduced backlight flicker, which improves eyesight when working at a computer. The network controller without a dedicated LAN port, but with a wireless receiver (Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.2) is responsible for processing network traffic in RedmiBook Pro 14. Additional equipment includes a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, a webcam with an HD sensor and a pair of stereo speakers with DTS support. The maximum battery life can reach 9 hours. Fast charging is provided, which restores up to 50% of the battery charge in 35 minutes.
