Like Apple, the Chinese company Xiaomi has a conservative approach to the release of laptops: there are few models in the range, modifications too, and the design does not change much from year to year. So Mi Laptop Pro 2019 practically copies its predecessor, differing from it only in hardware and a number of cosmetic improvements.

High quality IPS screen

Thanks to the frameless screen and geometric regular lines, the laptop turned out to be elegant and compact. The thickness of the aluminium case is 15.9 mm, all this goodness lies pleasantly in the hands and gives the impression of a rather expensive and high-quality thing. The 15-inch IPS display did not let us down either. IPS-matrix with a diagonal of 15" and Full HD resolution demonstrates an excellent picture and is covered with protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which gives additional rigidity to the screen. The matrix has maximum viewing angles, excellent contrast with a ratio of 925:1 and a good margin of brightness of 290 cd/m2.

Intel Core i5 eighth generation

The laptop is equipped with an eighth-generation Intel Core i5 quad-core chip (frequency 1.6 — 3.4 GHz), 8 GB of RAM, a 256 GB SSD and a mid-range GeForce MX250 graphics card. The latter made it possible not to complicate the system of coolers, as in gaming laptops, and to keep a small case thickness. In general, this is a standard filling for a performant laptop in 2019, and there is not much to say here: everything will pull.

Large touchpad, large battery and fast charging

Among the other advantages of the model, we note good speakers manufactured by Harman, a set of modern ports, a capacious 7900 mAh battery that can last up to 9 hours, and fast charging. Well, speaking of Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro, one cannot fail to mention the giant 6-inch touchpad. Thanks to its size, glass coating and gesture control, it transforms from a simple mouse substitute into a powerful working tool. The main thing is to get used to the fact that a fingerprint sensor is built into the corner of the touchpad and from time to time you will accidentally stumble upon it. Well, there is no LAN port here, it will not work to connect via cable, there is only Wi-Fi to access the network.
