the “stepson” of the sub-flagship Vivo V20, slightly simplified on key points of the programme for the sake of accessibility to a wide audience. The most delicious thing in it is a juicy AMOLED screen with a diagonal size of 6.44" and a built-in fingerprint scanner. The image is broadcast on the screen of a mobile gadget in FullHD+ resolution (2400x1080 pixels). For the needs of the front camera lens, a neat teardrop-shaped cutout was made in the upper part of the display. The triple camera on the plastic back of the device combines 48 + 2 + 2 MP sensors (master, depth sensor and macro lens). The guarantor of a decent level of performance of the Vivo V20 SE is a balanced hardware base, which is headed by an eight-core mid-range chipset Snapdragon 665. The smartphone got 8/128 GB of memory...with the possibility of expanding the capacity of the standard storage with the participation of a microSD card (a separate cell is provided for its installation in a triple drawer) . The model is equipped with an NFC and supports an accelerated “refueling” procedure – in just half an hour, a 4100 mAh smartphone battery is charged by a 33-watt unit by 62%.

Vivo V20 little brother

The smartphone is a simpler and cheaper version of Vivo V20, which represents the middle price segment. Both are similar in appearance: both cases use a 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, a waterdrop notch for the front camera and far from the most minimal bezels around the screen, but the design of the main camera is different. Also, the emphasis is on a small case thickness: in the case of the Vivo V20 SE, it is 7.8 mm. The models differ in processors: if the older Snapdragon 720G, then the SE version has a simpler and less performant Snapdragon 665, although for such a price I would like a better chip. Demanding games, of course, he will not pull, but no one called a gaming gadget either. But the memory is in full order — as much as 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, also expandable using a microSD memory card. Also, the simplified version has a more modest set of cameras: a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple main camera, which, in fact, is triple only for beauty. Only the 48 MP sensor is interesting in it, the other two (macro lens and 2 MP depth sensor) do not play an important role.

Decent "medium"

In general, Vivo V20 SE has become a worthy mid-ranger. The case is made of plastic, but the coating is pleasant to the touch, not easily soiled and does not slip in the hand. The fingerprint scanner is under the screen, there is NFC for contactless payments and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. But, perhaps, one of the main pluses is the 4100 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Only 30 minutes at the outlet will be enough for 62% of the charge, and it takes 1 hour to fully restore energy. On average, one charge should be enough for a day and a half of battery life.

Full set

Another pleasant moment when buying will be the equipment of the device. While other manufacturers are trying to cut it in every possible way, Vivo V20 SE, despite the low price, received a complete set. In addition to the standard Type-C cable and power adapter, a silicone case, a protective film and even headphones were put in the box. To sum up, the smartphone will appeal to those users who are not chasing well-known brands and marketing tricks, but are looking for an inexpensive device for everyday tasks and convenient use.
