Without restricting movement
With a capacity of up to 85 liters, the Thule backpack, according to the manufacturer, is able to provide comfort to almost any user. For these purposes, a proprietary suspension system with a rigid anatomical back and two planes of adjustment of the shoulder straps is proposed. They are adjustable in height (in the range of 15 cm) and width (three positions are available, taking into account the physique of the tourist).
Another feature of the Thule Guidepost 85L M is a reinforced waist belt with a hinge for mobility. It should follow the user's movements, including when lifting the hips high during mountain climbing, and the backpack itself will not “dance” to the sides, protecting it from loss of balance.
Two branches and more
The model has a large main compartment with traditional top access and an additional side opening with a J-shaped zipper. There are also side and front pockets. The first is for flat items, like a map or a book, and the second is for dirty things or, say, outerwear.
There are other small pockets, namely two mesh pockets for bottles and one special removable one on the waist belt. The latter provides a proprietary VersaClick locking system that is compatible with the complete all-weather compartment for a smartphone and other accessories, such as a camera case (purchased separately).
Another backpack
The top flap of the Thule Guidepost 85L M is removable and converts into a self-contained backpack with a capacity of 28 liters. It will come in handy when walking light and can easily accommodate a snack, first aid kit, valuables that you don’t want to leave in the camp.
Other useful features of the model include equipment loops, a tie-down system familiar to roomy backpacks, a complete rain cover, and a drinking system outlet. And the weight does not exceed 2.7 kg.
The disadvantage of Thule Guidepost 85L M is the rather high price. But taking into account the proposed exclusive chips for seasoned tourists, it looks quite justified.
