I needed a small home water heater as a backup for hot water. I planned to install it in the kitchen, but the space for installation was problematic. The width of the future boiler shouldn't have exceeded 30 centimeters. I don't even know what I would have done if it weren't for this model. The tall and slim body fit perfectly into the planned niche, leaving just a few millimeters of free space on each side. A forty-liter capacity is sufficient for a reserve. Ultra-narrow body. Turbo heating. Despite its small size, the manufacturer equipped it with powerful heating elements. Two kilowatts of power heat forty liters of water to 70 degrees in just one hour. It's very efficient, unlike the 100-liter boiler at my parents' house that takes FOUR! hours to heat up, which is quite unusual. A stainless steel tank is a good solution to the corrosion problem. Though, I don't quite understand why there's a magnesium anode in such a tank. What is there to protect from corrosion if the tank material is corrosion-resistant? The maximum water temperature is 70-75 degrees, and I regularly, at least once every three to four weeks, heat the entire volume to this temperature. Such "exercises" prevent the development of any bacterial nastiness and the appearance of unpleasant odors. For an ultra-compact boiler with a stainless steel tank – it's a good price. The check valve from the set turned out to be defective. Since I was installing the boiler myself, and it was a weekend, I had to postpone the official commissioning to the next day. There's no thermometer. Only a 12-month warranty. |
Beautiful, Convenient, easy to connect, economical. After 1.5 years the tank leaked, it’s a shame... but at the beginning it was so wonderful. Sorry I didn't work for long... use Thermex IU-40 V more than year |
Without hot water in the summer it is uncomfortable and dull. Therefore, I decided to buy a water heater in the winter. The requirements for the boiler were as follows: compact size, and the width of the apparatus was especially important, a volume of at least thirty liters, and preferably more, a storage tank made of corrosion-resistant steel and fast water heating. My work schedule is specific - I spend a day at work and two days at home, so it makes no sense to keep the boiler constantly in standby mode. And when you come home from duty, you don’t really want to wait two or three hours for the storage tank to heat up. Thermex chose this model on its own, according to its technical characteristics, and they completely suit me. The first thing I want to say is the dimensions of the case. The 27 cm width made it possible to hang it in the kitchen in the unused space between the kitchen cabinet and the wall. Once a TV bracket was planned there, but then this idea was bent and the seats remained empty. I installed it myself, there was no experience of such work, so I had to pretty tinker. Thanks to the authors of the video on Youtube, a couple of videos helped a lot in the installation of pipelines. Everything worked out, although not the first time))) The maximum temperature to which the boiler heats water is 70 degrees. With a volume of 40 liters, it is enough to take a shower and tinker with cooking in the kitchen. I live alone, I just do not need a larger volume. I especially want to note the speed of heating. It is very comfortable, the tank is fully warmed up in seventy minutes. If fast heating is not needed, then using the switches on the lower end, you can switch the heating element to operating mode at reduced power - 700 watts. The storage tank is made of stainless steel, but it still has a magnesium anode. As it turned out, such protection is needed not so much for the surface of the tank as for welds. After welding, steel can lose its resistance to corrosion, and this is where a protective anode comes to the rescue. It would be more convenient if there was at least some kind of thermometer on the body of the water heater. |
