Easy start
Tesoro Olivant Pro is one of the most affordable gaming stereo headsets with a USB audio card included, and among the first-tier manufacturers (Razer, SteelSeries, Roccat, Logitech, Kingston, ASUS) is generally the cheapest. The detachable microphone and twin mini-jack mean you can connect the headphones to your smartphone and wear them outdoors, but cups with such large (the ear fits completely) and thick ear cushions will look a little strange outside the house.
Ears do not press
Despite the large bowls, the total weight of the headset is small (315 g), which was achieved thanks to a lightweight bow, consisting of two thin metal plates and a cloth partition. The pressure of the plates is quite strong, but the soft filler of the ear cushions levels the pressure on the head.
Games and movies, but not music
The sound of Olivant Pro is made primarily with an emphasis on games: the high frequencies are twisted above the norm in order to better distinguish individual sounds (the steps of enemies, the rustle of grass). The bundled sound card supports 7.1-channel virtual surround sound. However the number of games in which this feature is well implemented is relatively small (for example, the Battlefield series). Movies also sound not bad, which, unfortunately, cannot be said about music — music lovers are better off looking for an alternative.
Freebies don't happen
The microphone is flexible, the quality is average. The audio card, which reduces the number of audio pickups, saves the situation a little. But still, the microphone does not reach the level of more expensive gaming headsets (Kingston HyperX Cloud Core and SteelSeries Siberia 200). All things considered, the Tesoro Olivant Pro is a solid, inexpensive, but purely gaming stereo headset that sounds exactly as much as it costs ($50).
