Immediately after the release of nextgen consoles from Sony and Xbox, the eminent manufacturer of gaming peripherals Razer announced the launch of a new line of Razer Kaira headsets with wireless connection (Bluetooth v 5.0 + 2.4 Hz radio channel) and official support for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Thus, the Razer Kaira Pro was one of the first officially certified headsets for the PlayStation 5.
It is a wireless full-size model with closed ear cups that fully encircle the user's ears, providing maximum noise isolation and enhancing the effect of game immersion. The product features a comfortable, adjustable headband and an eye-catching PS5 console-inspired design: the ear cups, microphone, and headband cushion are black in flight, while the outer part of the headband is painted white to enhance contrast.
The padded headband is moderately snug and doesn't put too much pressure on the points of contact with the head. The weight of the structure is 365 grams. The Flowknit ear cushions are filled with memory foam, and the fabric lining allows good ventilation, so the ears do not experience too much discomfort from the heat. Like the Razer Kraken series headsets, it uses HyperSense's proprietary haptic feedback system, which converts the sounds from the game into vibration in real time, enhancing the immersive effect.
If necessary, this function can be disabled using a separate button on the case. Three-layer dynamic emitters TriForce Titanium, which have also been found in other headsets of the company in recent years, are responsible for sound reproduction. The peculiarity of the TriForce Titanium driver lies in its three-section structure, in which each element is responsible exclusively for bass, mids and highs.
For speech transmission, the device is equipped with a hyper-cadioid microphone on a flexible shaft with a foam pad and support for proprietary HyperClear Mic technology to improve the quality of speech transmission. The microphone is not detachable, but can be turned off if necessary. The battery life of the Kaira Pro is 50 hours. To highlight the status of the headset, Razer has placed its own Razer Chroma RGB illuminated logo on each cup.
