Three-Zone Layout
The Discovery series model by Outwell stands out among its analogs with a well-thought-out three-zone design. The main bedroom for six people is complemented by two vestibules. One of them is a dry zone (Dry Zone) with an integrated floor measuring 160 cm in length, and the other is a wet zone (Wet Zone) measuring 205 cm in length. The latter has no floor but features a protective skirt against dirt, wind, and precipitation. The dry zone is conveniently used as a dining or play area, while the wet zone serves as a kitchen or storage space for equipment.
Bedroom with Two Partitions
The sleeping area in the Outwell Rockwell 6 also provides flexible room division. Two removable fabric partitions allow the space to be divided into three two-person rooms, each 120 cm wide. Other configurations are possible, such as 4+2 or a single space 360 cm wide. The bedrooms use darkened fabric, and ventilation is improved with mesh inserts. Additionally, there are mosquito nets, pockets, a lantern loop, and an opening for cable routing.
Sturdy Poles
The structure is designed in a semi-barrel shape and based on four fiberglass poles. They provide a height of up to 2.1 meters and are noted for their increased strength due to a diameter of 12.7 mm. The manufacturer claims easy setup, especially with two people. For convenience, there is color-coding of the elements and reflective guy lines. However, the reinforced frame increases the total weight of the tent—to 22.3 kg.
It is worth noting the outer polyester tent with a waterproof rating of 3000 mm and UV protection (UPF 30+).
