Enhancing Traditional Solutions
The Osprey model is already the fourth generation of Talon backpacks, primarily designed for day hikes and/or cycling trips. It features the signature Airscape ventilation system, intended to increase comfort during use.
Osprey Talon 11 is made from nylon fabric. It is complemented by quality fittings and durable zippers. The overall weight without content does not exceed 640 grams. The backpack fits well on the back and helps to distribute loads evenly, as the shoulder straps are assisted by an adjustable chest strap and a hip belt.
Take Everything You Need
The model has a satisfactory capacity for sports solutions, with 11 liters. If that's too much, you should consider a smaller version, which is more compact and has a smaller capacity (9 liters). The hydration system is offered to be placed outside the main compartment, just behind the back. This way, the hydration reservoir (supporting capacities from 1.5 to 2 liters) will be easier to access, plus there will be more space inside for other items.
The user also has access to a front pocket and plenty of additional external pockets. Besides the side ones (for bottles), there are a couple on the hip belt (for example, for snacks or a hiking GPS navigator), and one on the strap.
Additional Features
The Osprey Talon 11 is notable for other useful features. In addition to the LidLock helmet attachment on the front of the body, there is also an InsideOut elastic cord that allows you to secure bulky items like outerwear outside. Also provided are additional loops for gear: thanks to them, there is no need to carry an ice axe and/or trekking poles in your hands. Furthermore, there are side cinches, a place for attaching a flashlight, reflective elements, and a safety whistle on the shoulder strap.
The drawbacks of the model include a fairly high cost, but this is characteristic of all the manufacturer's products. The Osprey Talon 11 is worth considering not only for brand enthusiasts but also for the most demanding cyclists and hikers.
