As for "conclusions, recommendations" to other "hi-fi music lovers,"-- honestly, I don't recommend it! Guys, "look for something better." And for me, even among "Japanese amplifiers"-- I currently have at home, with good 8-ohm speakers in use concurrently, an old "Sony-TA-FE 200 super Legato Linear," which is 10 years old. So even it, I'll tell you "honestly" - sounds cleaner, clearer, more linear (well, yes, after all, "Linear" means something!) Well, it rates "a solid four" on the "five-point scale"! The price of 24-25 "pieces" seems overpriced to me. I even regret having exchanged my old 1993 "Corvette-100U68SM" for this "Onkyo". The "black Japanese with a huge knob on the front honestly - disappointed me. But - "more on that below", I'll write in the disadvantages. The "Japanese" turned out to be weak in terms of "output maximum". Well, compared to our "Korvet" - 150 watts at "maximum" - the "black Japanese" offers a maximum of 70 watts at 4 ohms. And the frequency response in reality, on speakers in the "final stage", is worse! Yes, it is "linear", smooth, I agree, but only 10Hz-20kHz. For the "Korvet" in terms of sound pressure, on good speakers, it is linear from 10Hz to 70kHz, and that's the truth! You can hear them! Yes, "Onkyo" claims such a range - from 10Hz to 100kHz, but you can only hear it with good headphones, from the headphone output, after the "headphone amp". The final stage, that is, the "power amp", in the "Onkyo-9130" is "greatly limited in the highs", and you can feel it on quality speakers. On headphones, yes, it's a different story, "Onkyo" sounds "great", but it's not a "headphone amp", it's for the room, after all! use Onkyo A-9130 month or more |
Amazingly good when paired with the Audio-Technica LP5. Looks great, plays even better. Not found yet. use Onkyo A-9130 week i recommend it should buy |
The Onkyo A-9130 amplifier can be called the next step in low-cost amplifiers. Unlike its simpler brothers, this model at a relatively low cost (about $470) is able to create a strikingly attractive sound, typical of premium devices.
Strict, beautiful, comfortable
The amplifier in a classic rectangular form factor is equipped with a rigid anti-resonance metal chassis 1.6 mm thick, so it is stable on any horizontal surface. Black or silver colour fits perfectly into any interior.
The front panel is an example of minimalism. There are 5 regulators, one large — volume, the rest — the input selector, the bass / treble and balance settings are smaller and all of the same size. The narrow LCD display is shifted to the right and almost merges with the surface. In the lower right corner there is a 6.35 mm (Jack) headphone jack, to the left of it there are minimalistic buttons Bypass Direct, bass boost and the Main in external preamp connection mode.
Powerful Buff
The model works with sound in the record frequency range of 10 – 100,000 Hz. Onkyo specialists have successfully worked on the expressiveness of the sound by applying WRAT (Wide Range Amplification Technology). The amplifier easily drives speakers with a power of 30 watts into 8 ohms and 60 watts into 4 ohms. Helping him in this is the built-in Wolfson WM8718 premium DAC, which allows you to play audio through optics with a resolution of 92 kHz / 24-bit.
The amplifier interface pleases with the presence of connectors for connecting a turntable, a subwoofer, a Remote Control connector for remote control, 5 pairs of line inputs, one pair of outputs, 1 optical and one coaxial inputs. But you can only connect two speakers. There are also no inputs and outputs for recording. But the power cable is detachable and thick. Will last a long time. The manufacturer also took care of auto-switching to Standby mode.
Overall, the Onkyo A-9130 is good. Looks great and plays even better. However not loud and not cheap. But impressive.
