Advanced mid-size case, made in the image of timeless traditional classics. The system unit is designed to assemble a performant computer system. An ATX motherboard is installed on the chassis. Inside the NZXT H500I case, there is enough space for mounting a 381 mm long graphics card, and the CPU cooler is limited to a height of 165 mm. The ventilation system involves the use of 4 coolers, while the model kit initially provides 2 fans. Additionally, the cooling system can be equipped with 2 heat exchange circuits with liquid refrigerant. The front panel is distinguished by a straightforward, strict design. The front and top covers are made of metal and seamlessly connected to each other. On the front of the top cover are 2 USB 3.1 Gen. The main sidewall is covered with a transparent temper...ed glass panel. The thickness of the glass surface is 3 mm. To increase reliability, the glass is reinforced with metal stiffeners. The ventilation ducts are protected by dust filtration. The power supply is mounted at the base of the case. The system unit rests on rather high legs. The case weighs around 7 kg.

Inspired by IKEA

In 2018, NZXT has seriously updated its H-series chassis lineup to keep up with the spirit of the times. Gaming hardware tends to look great and is often backlit, so NZXT's new H500i has a large viewing window through which you can see the hardware in detail. But in terms of design, the approach remained the same: rigor, purity of lines, maximum simplicity and seamless connection of the lids to each other. Because of this, for many, it evokes associations with laconic furniture from IKEA.

Hassle-free assembly

Pleased, NZXT designers have put a lot of effort into making the case comfortable, assembling components is easy and effortless. A lot of attention was paid to the functionality of the chassis, which is neatly assembled, has sufficient capacity for modern components and an acceptable cooling scheme, which allows using, among other things, full-fledged CBO circuits. Separately, it is worth mentioning the well-thought-out dust protection, which consists of three filters, which provides easy cleaning of both the filters themselves and all surfaces of the case. We also paid a lot of attention to the NZXT CAM smart controller, which flexibly adjusts the fan speed, add automatic on/off cooling depending on the temperature of the components, and change the shade of any backlit elements.

Controller for flexible adjustment of coolers and lighting

Inside the H500I, there is room for a 381mm graphics card (it can be installed vertically), the CPU cooler is limited to a height of 165mm, and all wires can be hidden. The ventilation system involves the use of 4 coolers, while the model kit initially provides 2 fans. Due to the additional bay, the case allows you to install three 3.5 format hard drives, while most other cases of this size are designed for a maximum of two drives. Therefore, using the NZXT H500i, you can build both a gaming and a work computer, designed, for example, for intensive graphics processing.

The only point that caused complaints is the hard drive cage, which does not have any quick fixing devices. To install a drive in it, you have to put the case on its side and first unscrew the basket, otherwise you won’t be able to install them.
