It is permissible to use a sleeping bag even in winter: a comfortable overnight stay is claimed by the manufacturer at temperatures ranging from zero to 10 °C below zero. It is also able to protect against hypothermia in cold weather up to 20 °C below zero.

The Norfin Nordic Comfort 500 sleeping bag owes such temperature characteristics primarily to the dense 2-layer Super Loft insulation. It sits between a durable polyester material and a polycotton lining designed to provide comfortable lounging. For wind protection, the model is equipped with a hood, a thermal collar and a roller. Ease of use provides the ability to place a pillow and fasten two sleeping bags into one, the presence of loops for drying, an internal pocket and protection against biting zippers.
