Healthy conservatism

There are not so many gaming peripherals in the MSI assortment, since behind each product there is a clear idea and positioning, which makes it meaningless to constantly change. Released in 2019, the MSI Vigor GK60 looks like a simple, high-quality and slightly old-school mechanical keyboard that has nothing superfluous.

Replacement WASD button set

The upper part of the body is made of a solid steel plate, which adds rigidity to the structure. The bottom is made of plastic. The build quality is excellent. The keyboard securely clings to the surface thanks to the rubber feet. The layout of the keys is standard, all blocks are separated from each other. The feel of the operation is 100% positive, the keys with Cherry MX Red switches are moderately elastic, responsive and accurate. It is equally pleasant to cut with friends in Overwatch and type texts on it. However, we did not expect anything else from high-quality mechanics.

Ability to customize each individual button

Among the nice little things, we can single out removable gold-plated WASD caps with special recesses for fingers, a game mode, separate keys for controlling the backlight and a well-thought-out design designed to stretch several cables from headphones, mice, etc. under the keyboard. The only frustrating thing here is a very limited set of proprietary software, which looks very limited against the background of solutions from Corsair, Kingston and Razr. MSI Gaming Centre has very few options to control the layout, no macros and assignable keys, no ability to save different profiles for different games. You can only customize the layout, play around with lighting effects and the brightness of the glow. Moreover, the backlight is not RGB, but exclusively red. From the unusual in the game centre, the only thing that catches your eye is the customization menu for each individual button.
