It's no secret that the lion's share of modern smartphones has similar features in appearance. And if the front of the flagship from Meizu is made in the same style as most of the colleagues in the shop, then the back of the mobile gadget distinguishes it from the crowd of similar solutions and gives the model a touch of individuality.
Second screen
The thing is that on the back of the smartphone there is an additional AMOLED display with a diagonal of 1.9 "and a resolution of 536x240 pixels. The areas of its use are limited by the ability to display time and date, weather, user activity, information about calls and SMS, and also show animated intros. In camera mode, the second display becomes possible to use as a viewfinder, sighting it in the process of shooting. This function allows you to completely forget about taking a selfie on the front camera, since the smartphone has an advanced dual photomodule installed on the back.
Two eyes"
The resolution of both the colour and black-and-white "eyes" of the main camera is 12 MP, and the maximum aperture for both sensors is f / 2.0. A module that captures light information in b/w mode is used to expand the dynamic range of images, which is really visible in fact. A mobile photographer has an abundance of manual settings and a programme mode for shooting portraits.
Powerful bundle
At the heart of the Chinese flagship is a powerful 10-core MediaTek Helio X30 chip, which is assisted by 6 GB of RAM. In performance testing, hardware is gaining more than 100K points (if we take into account the AnTuTu test), in reality, everything is also not bad — the smartphone performs the tasks assigned to it without the slightest hitch. But in the regular version of Meizu Pro 7, the hardware platform is based on the less performant MediaTek Helio P25 processor, which elevates the basic modification to the rank of a middle-class representative.
Flagship Attributes
Of the modern flagship attributes, the smartphone lacks only a frameless design style and an NFC chip in equipment. However, the 5.7-inch AMOLED screen with QuadHD resolution on the front panel already looks good, and the place of the aforementioned chip in the depths of the metal case of the model was taken by a separate DAC to improve sound quality. There was also support for fast charging technology, more details about the principles of which can be found in the article “A Brief Educational Programme on Fast and Wireless Charging Technologies”.
