Simple household Makita
The Makita 2712 circular saw is a good sawing machine designed to work with boards up to 85 mm thick. This model has a not too massive, but rather rigid frame (made of stamped steel with a thickness of about 1.5 mm). The power of the 2000-watt motor is enough to cut boards from wood of any density. And the “soft start” system will take care of the reliability and durability of the motor, which reduces the load on the components and mechanisms when turned on.
Works with large boards
This saw is suitable for precise sawing of fairly large workpieces. Working with large parts is aided by a wide aluminium table that expands to a size of 550x1600mm with the included extensions. Thanks to the transport wheels and the 3-metre power cable, the machine is easy to move around the workshop in order to find the most convenient position for work.
But there are complaints about the quality of the dust removal system. The machine likes to get clogged with chips and fine dust from the inside, so it’s better to always use a vacuum cleaner so that you don’t spend a lot of time cleaning the equipment after work.
Inexpensive option for fans of the Japanese brand
Sawing machine Makita 2712 is a great option for a small workshop. Its performance, reliability and accuracy are unlikely to disappoint you (especially when you consider that it is not that expensive by the standards of a Makita tool).
Among Makita's stationary saws, there are also more "serious" circulars. These include, for example, the super popular and very respected Makita MLT100N, but it costs much more.
