If you're looking for a music-centric smartphone, you'll be disappointed (unless you have incredibly poor hearing). The camera and RAM are quite sufficient and it works quite fast. The sound, specifically the sound in headphones—previously I had an LG G6 PLUS, and it had tuning from Bang&Olufsen (Denmark), and the sound was amazing—with Marshall Major 2 and Sony MH750 headphones. But on the V40, tuned by Meridian (UK), the sound is sort of flat, lacks depth, and the mid and high frequencies are too high, even though there's a DAC with an amplifier—this doesn't help! So, it doesn't qualify as a smartphone with good sound—look for other models! use LG V40 ThinQ 128GB more than year |
The phone was purchased in November 2019 and, surprisingly, it impresses. The battery capacity is sufficient (though the wireless charging in the car helps), music plays beautifully, the camera produces very decent photos, and the optical stabilizer is fantastic! Almost forgot about the screen, it is excellent! Light, slim, elegant, and rare, which is also nice!)) Everything I've already listed, plus moisture and dust protection, it has already survived several falls on the floor without any damage. It's slippery without a case, but I don't want to put a case on. |
Bought the black version with dual SIM. The screen is good, the phone is slim, looks really nice, fast, and the cameras are excellent (except the front one). I've truly come to love this phone, honestly. But what's really annoying is the battery. Dual SIM versions probably feel this more, but the charge just melts away. It never lasts a full day with normal use. If you just call, surf for an hour, and watch YouTube for an hour, maybe it will. But turn on the camera for 15...20 minutes or play a game, and it's 20...30 percent down in an hour. I have to keep it in power-saving mode just to get by, and that's a whole different experience. Disappointing. The second thing that's really frustrating is the lack of updates. I understand LG has kind of neglected its mobile division now, but, geez, Android 9((( Its capabilities are really starting to feel quite limited. - appearance - performance - screen - rear cameras, especially the main and ultra-wide - BATTERY!!! - lack of support and updates from LG use LG V40 ThinQ 64GB few months |
