Efficient cleaning

The vacuum cleaner of the well-known American robotics manufacturer iRobot offers good value for money. First of all, it is designed for dry cleaning in apartments and houses and handles well with various contaminants, sucking up fine dust, crumbs, hair and pet hair. The brushes adhere tightly to various types of flooring: tile, laminate, linoleum, carpet, etc. The manufacturer claims that the filter captures 99% of allergens of mold, pollen, dust mites — up to 10 microns in size. On hard surfaces, the robot reduces the power to save energy, and once on the carpet, it automatically increases it for effective cleaning. Thanks to Dirt Detect technology, sensors identify the most polluted areas and give the command to pay special attention to them.

iRobot Roomba 976 is equipped with one side brush and two main brushes at once. The latter are made of rubber, so they are easy to clean and do not trap hair and threads as much as a regular brush with bristles. The volume of the dust container is 600 mL — a good indicator for infrequently thinking about cleaning. In addition, the device itself will notify you of fullness. In addition to regular cleaning, the robot vacuum cleaner can clean certain areas within a radius of one metre, along walls and around furniture.

Management and navigation

iAdapt 2.0 navigation helps the vacuum cleaner move around the house, map the room and the most optimal route, and sensors prevent it from falling and crashing into obstacles. The control takes place through the iRobot HOME application on a smartphone via Wi-Fi. That is, at any time and in any place you can start the robot, see a map of the cleaned rooms, set the mode and set the cleaning schedule. In addition, voice assistants Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are supported. A single charge of a 1850 mAh battery lasts up to 1.5 hours of battery life. Discharging, the vacuum cleaner itself will return to the docking station and continue the interrupted cleaning from the place where it stopped. The cleaning area is up to 80 square metres, but, in fact, there are no restrictions: use the device in the apartment, and in the house, and in the office, but the larger the area of \u200b\u200bthe room, the longer the cleaning will take, taking into account the charging time.

Another feature of the model is the work in tandem with the iRobot Braava Jet M6 cleaning machine: when the vacuum cleaner finishes its work, the floor polisher is automatically taken over. Of course, their tandem is not cheap, but the result will be better than using one robot vacuum cleaner for dry and wet cleaning.
