The closest relative of the hit mid-ranger Honor 10 Lite relies on bezel-less and advanced photographic capabilities. The front panel of Huawei Honor 10i 128GB is occupied by an IPS screen with a diagonal of 6.21" and a resolution of FullHD + (2340x1080 pixels). A neat waterdrop notch at the top of the display hides a 32MP selfie camera lens with Face Unlock. The main photographic tasks are shouldered by a trio of image sensors on the device’s gradient back: a 24 MP main sensor with f / 1.8 aperture optics, an 8 MP wide-angle module and a 2 MP depth sensor for drawing spectacular bokeh in pictures. The device is powered by the Kirin 710 processor, which is in the same league as Qualcomm's eponymous "dragon". Along with it, the hardware of the gadget got hold of a GPU Turbo 2.0 graphics acc...elerator and 4/128 GB of memory. Of the additional "goodies" it should be noted the presence of an NFC chip for contactless payments and fast charging of a 3400 mAh battery. The process of "pumping" energy into its tanks is carried out through the rapidly outdated microUSB interface.

Why do smartphones start to slow down and what amount of RAM is now considered optimal?Let's explore the reasons for the slowdown and the optimal amount of RAM for smartphones

"Lightweight" Honor 10

Smartphones from Huawei's sister brand, Honor, have taken a bite out of the mid-range smartphone market. In 99% of cases, they are maximally pumped in terms of hardware, have high-quality screens, and, unlike inexpensive Xiaomi models, are equipped with NFC that allow you to use a smartphone instead of a plastic card. A vivid confirmation of this is the "light" version of the flagship Huawei Honor 10.

Convenient and compact

By serial number, the model is the direct successor of Honor 9X and Honor 10, but outwardly it overlaps more in the hit Huawei P Smart 2019. First of all, the reduced dimensions and the back cover with a simple gradient colour without patterns catch the eye. The display has also decreased, if earlier many “smarts” from Honor seemed like Gullivers, Honor 10i with its 6.2-inch fully complies with modern standards. It is not always convenient to control it with one hand, but there is no feeling that you are holding a tablet in your hands, not a smartphone. By the way, the display itself is traditionally excellent, with good colour reproduction and excellent factory calibration, Huawei in the segment of inexpensive phones is almost always in order with this.

Based on Kirin 710F

At the heart of the iron part of the device is an octa-core Kirin 710F of its own production. In fact, in matters it is very close to the performance of Snapdragon 665 from Qualcomm. Together with 4 GB of RAM and an ARM Mali-G51 graphics core, the smartphone provides a confident launch of most applications from Google Play and modern games. This is confirmed by the high results in “synthetics” – as part of the AnTuTu test, the model received over 139K points.

AI Triple Camera

Takes pictures of a smartphone on a trio of main modules (24 + 8 + 2 MP) equipped with artificial intelligence technologies, and an excellent 32 MP front camera. Another fat plus of a mobile gadget is the NFC chip put into service. But for some reason there was no place for a dual-band Wi-Fi module in a plastic case, as well as for a USB-C port, instead of which a morally obsolete microUSB is used here. Support for fast charging and quite a tenacious 3400 mAh battery smoothes the picture somewhat. Summing up, we note that Huawei / Honor again turned out to be a strong smartphone, which will surely compete for the palm in the “under $200” segment.
