I've been using the cooktop for two weeks now. I chose it mainly based on the specifications and dimensions, but the functionality didn't disappoint either. I can even say that the electric cooktop is really more convenient and modern than the old gas stoves. Even heating of the hobs, which can be easily adjusted to the desired temperature. White or black?
The Gorenje hob belongs to the middle price segment and has two colours depending on the interior of your kitchen: white and black. Of course, black looks more stylish, but it is easily soiled, scratches, dust and dirt are clearly visible on it. But white is more practical. The surface is made of glass-ceramic, which is durable and withstands high temperatures, that is, you can safely put hot dishes on it. In addition, the panel has no frame and can be installed flush with the work surface. This will make cleaning easier, as the dirt will not clog into the corners. The touch panel is traditionally responsible for control, located in the front centre, which allows you to set the settings separately for each burner.
Simple and convenient
Gorenje IT 640 WSC offers all the necessary features for fast and safe cooking. It is equipped with four heating zones: two with a diameter of 14.5 cm and a power of 1.2 kW and two more at 21 cm with a power of 1.5 kW. The burners allow you to place containers with a bottom diameter of 9 or 13 cm, respectively, they can recognize dishes and do not turn on if the pot or pan is not the right size or material. Autofocus adjusts the heater to the size of the dishes, that is, only the area directly under the bottom is heated, while the rest of the area remains cold. In addition, each of the hotplates has a residual heat indicator that indicates whether the surface has cooled down after being switched off. Do not forget about the PowerBoost function, which increases the power to 1.6 and 2 kW, depending on the burner. But its operation time is limited to 10 minutes, although this is quite enough to bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Like most induction models, the device has a timer that automatically turns off the burner after a certain time, child protection, a locking control panel, and an auto-off system that limits the duration of operation and protects the device from premature breakdowns.
