The case is a compact modification (Midi Tower) of the full-size Meshify 2 XL case, which has already become a bestseller. With more modest dimensions (475x210x424 mm), the platform demonstrates the capabilities of the older model. This is a modular chassis with screwless fastening of elements. The front panel has a textured surface based on a well-blown metal mesh. Behind the removable front panel are two 140mm fans.
These are proprietary Dynamic X2 GP-14 blades that provide efficient cooling with minimal noise. Another 120mm cooler is at the back. The air intake is equipped with a high-quality nylon filter, which is able to effectively trap even fine dust. Additionally, there are anti-dust nets on the bottom and top. The Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact Dark TG computer case has a good supply of free space.
The size of the motherboard can be — ATX, Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX. 169 mm is allocated for the CPU cooler, graphics length can reach 341 mm. It will be possible to place a power supply of almost any size in the case — 200 mm of free space is provided for mounting the PSU. The case has a full cable management system. This platform will allow you to be creative in assembling a high-performance PC.
Optimal size
Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact Dark TG is compact compared to the older models of the Meshify series, but in general, a rather roomy Midi-Tower case. Weighs a solid 7.7 kg, which clearly indicates the use of durable steel sheets. The front panel is an easy-to-remove grille, and the side panel is a viewing window made of tempered glass.
Four varieties
There are several modifications of Meshify 2 Compact available to choose from: black with strong or weak tinted glass, white with glass without tinting, and black with a blank metal side wall. Inside, there are no differences: a tower cooler up to 17 cm high, a graphics card up to 34 cm long and a power supply unit up to 16.5 cm can fit freely. And if you remove the HDD cage and one of the front fans, even larger components will fit.
Air and water
There are 6 seats for drives, and with rubber vibration-absorbing pads (but only 4 baskets are included), and 7 for fans. Three branded Fractal Design Dynamic X2 GP turntables without illumination are supplied in the kit. If desired, the fans can be replaced with CBO: a 240 mm radiator is placed on top, and a 280 or 360 mm radiator is placed in front.
Ergonomic approach
Top, bottom and front are fine dust filters. And there's plenty of room behind the motherboard tray for hidden cable management. On the front panel, in addition to control buttons and audio jacks, there are three USB ports: two classic Type-A and one newfangled Type-C.
