More modern and light
Updated in 2018, the backpack of the German brand Deuter is the heir to the popular cycling model — Race 10. The main changes, in addition to design, affected capacity and weight. The new version is designed for 8 liters and weighs 530 grams versus 10 liters and 560 grams, respectively. Back in Race 8, they decided to abandon the front pocket, slightly changed the form factor and updated the straps, which became more pleasant to the touch and are equipped with a nice addition — a loop for cycling glasses.
Optimal load distribution
The rounded shape of the model contributes to the uniform distribution of loads. For the same purpose, as well as a tight and secure fit, adjustable chest straps and a waist belt with a ventilation system are provided.
The Airstripes system with special rollers and an air channel on the back of the backpack is designed to remove moisture and heat from the user's back.
There is a place for everything you need
In addition to the main compartment with organizer, the Deuter Race 8 is equipped with a top coin pocket with a lock for a keychain. The backpack is compatible with drinking systems up to 2 liters. On the outside, there are elastic pockets for bottles on the sides. And the model is complemented by a system of external loops, which allows you to fix a bicycle lamp and a helmet (if there is a special holder).
Ready for rain and showers
The backpack is made of durable, well-protected from moisture materials: polyamide (main body) and nylon (bottom). Reflectors are sewn on the front and back of the fabric, designed to increase the safety of the cyclist on the road. In a special compartment at the bottom of the Deuter Race 8 is a removable rain cover (raincoat), thanks to which the models are not afraid of even heavy showers.
Deuter Race 8 is offered in four colours and is positioned as the best solution for cycling. But given the design and equipment features, the model will also be of interest to fans of other sports. The high popularity of both the predecessor and the new version only confirms this.
