The UP3216Q is Dell's only 32" monitor in production today. It is a representative of the flagship UltraSharp line, is based on an AH-IPS panel and supports Ultra HD resolution.
The choice of professionals
Dell UP3216Q provides accurate colour reproduction and excellent colour depth due to PremierColor technology without additional settings (using a 10-bit matrix). At the height and colour gamut, which is 100% of sRGB and REC 709 spaces, as well as 99.5% — Adobe RGB. This feature will be useful for professionals who work with graphics, process video, and design.
As befits IPS panels, the monitor will please with excellent viewing angles, as well as a good response time (6 ms).
Note that factory calibration in models produced in 2016 is far from perfect. But, firstly, this is solved with the help of proprietary software, and, secondly, the defect has been eliminated in the new versions of the monitor.
Ergonomics and extensive connectivity
Thanks to the stand, the screen can be rotated left or right, tilted back and forth and adjusted in height. The monitor supports Flicker Free technology, so the backlight does not flicker and thus does not tyre the eyes during prolonged use.
You can display an image via HDMI (including from mobile devices, as MHL support is provided), Display Port and mini DisplayPort. To work with peripherals, there are 4 USB ports on the case (one connector with fast charging), a 6-in-1 card reader, a traditional 3.5 mm audio output (there is no built-in acoustics).
The price to pay for flawless colour reproduction and wide connectivity of various devices is quite high, although it is comparable to the offers of competitors, for example, Asus PA329Q. Another disadvantage can be considered high power consumption: 93 W per hour is almost 2 times more than most models in the low-cost and mid-price segment. Otherwise, the Dell UP3216Q is one of the best professional 4K monitors on the market.
