As always, Dali has impeccable packaging, build quality, and most importantly: they do not play, but sing and sing. The most important task was that the speakers cope with the classics, and with heavy metal, and with trance, and with other genres. I thought it wasn't possible. Wrong. This is Oberon 7. The speaker system of the Danish audiophile brand Dali Oberon 7 will appeal not only to its excellent sound with elastic and soft bass, but also to its luxurious look.
Sophistication of design
Kit 2.0 includes two heavy speakers measuring 101.5x20x34 cm each. The MDF cabinet with vinyl finish is available in 4 colours: white, light oak, ash black and dark walnut. Depending on the colour scheme, the speakers are protected by a grey or black fabric grille, and the front of the cabinet is finished in white or black. The beauty and conciseness of the design is emphasized by an aluminium stand on rubber legs.
Detailed sound
High sound quality is provided by 3 speakers divided into 2 lanes: a 29 mm fabric dome tweeter and 2 7-inch paper cone woofers. For a dense and elastic bass response, a rather large phase inverter port is located on the rear panel, which is why the speaker should not be placed too close to the walls so as not to limit the air flow.
According to the manufacturer, he optimized the cabinet design for a wide dispersion pattern, which achieved a homogeneous and high-quality sound even outside the central listening area. And indeed it is. Dali Oberon 7 sounds quite homogeneous without significant harmonic and frequency distortion. The scene is clear, crisp, without blurring, the frequency response is flat over the entire range of 36 – 26000 Hz, and with a good amplifier, the system heats up to 360 watts without strain.
You will have to pay almost $1200 for all this splendor, but Dali Oberon 7 is worth it, as it captivates at first sight, and from the first notes it makes you fall in love with yourself forever.
