Simple and functional

D-Link DWR-953 is an AC1200 dual-band wireless router with built-in LTE modem that provides high-speed mobile 3G/4G connection.

Dual band operation

two operating ranges are supported (at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), and the router itself can work as a DHCP server and has a built-in VPN. An LTE modem provides a 3G/4G connection with up to 150 Mbps download speed and up to 50 Mbps upload speed. Pretty good for an emergency. The only thing I didn’t like was that when switching to a SIM card, the router occasionally lost connection on one of the channels, because of which it was necessary to reconnect to the network or reboot the router itself.

A thousand little things

It is also worth noting a pack of useful little things that make it easier to work with the router. First of all, this concerns a concise mobile application for quickly setting up a router. Very handy if you don't need advanced web browser configuration options. And on the front side below is one of the largest collections of LED indicators in the history of mankind. Well, an interesting feature is the Wi-Fi disable button, which allows you to disable only the wireless connection, but keep in touch with devices connected to the router's LAN ports.
