Inexpensive wireless router (router) with the ability to create a high-speed optical WAN connection for organizing a local wireless and cable network in a house/apartment or a small office. It is another modification (new revision) of one of the most popular low-cost models D-Link DIR-615, first released to the market in 2009. It features an improved exterior design and improved hardware, which increases the coverage area that meets the Wi-Fi 4 standard. The hardware base uses a Realtek RTL8197FH network processor operating at a clock frequency of 1 GHz. Two external inclined non-removable antennas and 2x2 MU-MIMO technology provide a high theoretical wireless network bandwidth, which, according to the manufacturer, reaches 300 Mbps. The D-Link DIR-615/GF router is capable of simultaneousl...y serving several client devices without delays and significant data transfer rate dips. The device connects to the provider's network via a WAN port of the Fast Ethernet standard, capable of transmitting up to 100 Mbps. The four available LAN ports can form the basis for a small cabled LAN. This bandwidth is sufficient for typical home/office tasks such as high-quality video streaming and IPTV broadcasting, cloud services, network gaming and video conferencing.
