Good afternoon, I'd like to share some unfortunately not-so-great impressions about the Chicco Ohlala 2 stroller. We bought it in Kyiv at the official store on Heroiv Stalingrada. Initially, I read reviews, and everyone was delighted. That's how I decided on this model; the first thing that caught my eye was the stroller's weight - just amazing, and secondly, the excellent deep canopy. Initially, everything seemed fine; we used it in summer, fall, and winter, but by spring the stroller started to come apart at the seams, literally falling apart. The child's weight is 14.5 kg, age 2 years and 5 months. The first thing that broke was a pipe, we found argon welding because the pipe is aluminum, and we welded the pipe. Within a week, the same pipe cracked on the other side, and we had to weld it again. Finally, the plastic even cracked. Parents, be aware that this model is supposed to support up to 15 kg. Pushchairs from the Italian manufacturer Chicco are not in vain popular among parents, because they offer high quality at reasonable prices. And Chicco Ohlala 2 is no exception. This is an inexpensive pushchair, the main (but not the only) advantage of which is the weight — only 3.8 kg. But this did not affect comfort in any way: the seat is quite roomy and spacious, here the child will be comfortable both sitting and sleeping. The unfolded dimensions are 81x46x101 cm, that is, with a fairly standard length, the width of the chassis (46 cm) makes the pushchair not too bulky and quite manoeuvrable. In addition, the design is quickly folded with just one hand, and a handle is provided for transportation. Therefore, the model will be an excellent option for mothers who live in high-rise buildings without an elevator: you can lift it even with a baby in your other hand. In addition, the pushchair will accompany you on trips and travels, and will not take up much space in the boot of a car or in public transport.
Not for off-road
Despite the lightness and compactness, the pushchair will withstand children aged 6 months to 3 years and weighing up to 15 kg. However it is designed more for warm weather, since there is no warm cape in the kit, and the hood is made of not too dense fabric and is unlikely to be able to protect against cold wind and snow. And the wheels are not designed for ice and snow. By the way, about them: all the wheels here are paired for greater stability, but small in size. It will be difficult to drive through pits and potholes, while the pushchair shakes. Therefore, it is still better to drive on smooth city roads. Although, according to reviews, on tiles in supermarkets and shopping centers, the wheels begin to slip. In addition, tall parents may be disturbed by the axle on the rear wheels, against which legs beat while walking. But axleless wheels are still more common in pushchairs.
Cozy and safe
But on a flat road, the child will be comfortable: breathable fabric provides good air circulation, the seat is soft and comfortable, the backrest and footrest are adjustable so that the baby can ride sitting or lying down, and five-point harnesses and a removable bumper are responsible for safety. Also an undoubted advantage is the large hood, which opens almost to the bumper and reliably covers the little one from the sun's rays. But, unfortunately, there is no viewing window or ventilation inserts on it.
The pushchair is equipped with a rain cover and a capacious basket where you can put your child's favorite toys or purchases. It withstands, like most similar compartments, up to 3 kg.
The best feature, in my opinion, is the ability to fold and unfold it with one hand. When folded, it's easy to roll with one hand while holding the little one with the other, which was very convenient at the airport. It's also very handy on public transport. The stroller has four plastic double wheels, which started to squeak on the first day, but this was quickly fixed by oiling them.
The only thing I didn't like - it's difficult to maneuver on tiled floors, like in stores. The wheels are plastic, so they slide and don't rotate like rubber ones. This stroller is the perfect choice for those who don't need an ultra-heavy-duty stroller with large wheels. It's the perfect city stroller - lightweight and stylish, and the little one is very comfortable sitting and sleeping in it.
