A household jug with a water purification system built on the basis of cartridge filters from the well-known German company Brita. Due to its small dimensions and light weight, it can be taken with you on the road and actively used in outdoor, field and camping conditions. The total capacity of the jug is 1.5 liters, the capacity of the bowl for filtered water is 1 liter. Replaceable Brita Maxtra cartridge filters provide comprehensive purification of tap/natural water and have a resource of 150 to 250 liters (depending on the degree of water contamination with mechanical suspensions and its hardness).

To calculate the life of the cartridge, you can use the approximation: 1 person can use the filter for 3 months, 2 people — 2 months, 4 people — less than a month. The BRITA Fun jar is made from high quality food grade plastic, comes in a range of vibrant colours and has a day counter on the lid. The process of water purification in the cartridge itself has 4 main stages. At the first stage, the water passes through a mechanical filter.

Then it comes into contact with granules of active cation exchange resins, which purify water from heavy metals, aluminium, iron, calcium and magnesium. After that, the water is passed through a layer of activated carbon that absorbs organic compounds, and at the fourth and final stage, the water passes through another mechanical filter. Purified water has minimal hardness (does not form scale in the kettle), provides excellent taste to dishes cooked with it, and can be used to power irons / humidifiers.
