The Biostar B450MX-S motherboard is a compact and inexpensive micro-ATX solution that is ideal for creating a variety of computer systems - from entry-level home and office computers to mid-range workstations and gaming PCs. This board is equipped with a mid-range B450 chipset and AMD AM4 processor socket. Compatibility with multi-core processors of the A series (Bristol Ridge) and Ryzen (Vermeer, Cezanne, Renoir, Matisse, Picasso, Summit Ridge, Raven Ridge, Pinnacle Ridge) allows you to carefully select the processor that best suits the user's tasks.
For systems that do not require a separate graphics adapter, direct connection to the processor's integrated Radeon Vega GPU is supported. Thanks to this, corporate clients can save a lot of money on assembling an entire office system. The motherboard is equipped with a high-speed PCI-E 3.0 interface, which allows you to install a fast NVMe SSD drive with linear read-write speeds in the region of 3000 – 4000 MB/s.
In addition, there are six SATA3 ports for installing standard SSDs and HDDs. The motherboard has four DDR4 DIMM RAM slots, supporting up to 128 GB of RAM with a maximum clock speed of 4333 MHz. Despite the low cost, it supports the installation of up to 128 GB of RAM with a maximum clock frequency of 4333 MHz, operating in a 4x32 GB scheme. Support for the high-speed PCI-E 3.0 interface means the ability to install one fairly fast NVMe SSD drive with linear read-write speeds in the region of 3000 – 4000 MB/s. To install standard SSDs and HDDs, there are 6 more ports with traditional SATA3 connectors. Add a modern and very efficient 10-phase power subsystem to this cocktail and you get a decent option for building an inexpensive gaming PC based on the still excellent AMD processors of previous generations.
