Why do smartphones start to slow down and what amount of RAM is now considered optimal?Let's explore the reasons for the slowdown and the optimal amount of RAM for smartphones
Model overview based on user reviews
The Asus ROG Phone 5 256 GB / 16 GB is a gaming smartphone that stands out with its impressive display quality, featuring a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and AMOLED technology for perfect black levels, making it ideal for media consumption. It offers excellent battery life with a 6000 mAh capacity, ensuring long-lasting performance even at a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone supports rapid charging with its 65W fast charging capability, significantly reducing downtime. Users appreciate the fast face unlock feature for quick access and the outstanding audio quality from its stereo speakers and headphone output. However, some drawbacks include screen brightness fluctuations at higher refresh rates, easily scratched glass, and a lack of water resistance. The phone also tends to heat up during extended gaming sessions, and its SIM card tray is not very sturdy. Despite these issues, the Asus ROG Phone 5 remains a powerful choice for gamers, with its smooth performance and unique design.
Pros
Cons
Pleasant to hold in your hands, two holes for charging. (there is a function of switching to power supply directly from the power supply, so the battery will not heat up, but will be charged and used directly. Also, the charging speed is amazing, but there are 65 watt mobile phones and with 120, looking at reviews, etc., the charge will be fully charged in about an hour, but in fact I had to go somewhere, put it on charge, in 10 minutes from 20 to 70 percent it was charged like a bullet.) HUGE battery, there are no analogues to the battery (6k mAh), holds the charge longer than anyone else, I run at 144 hertz from morning to evening quite enough. The device works smoothly, it would seem that the eye sees 24 frames, but in fact, when you go from 60 hertz to 144, you don’t want to go back, it seems as if the phone lags at 60 hertz, although it’s all about the frame rate. It costs 11 Android, I don’t know what has changed from 10, but it seems like the new normal one, there aren’t a ton of updates like Xiaomi has every day, I think the phone will be supported for several years and it will receive new firmware versions. The very appearance of the mobile phone is amazing, some say it’s an amateur, but here they cut off everything they could, in fact it’s quite modest, but at the same time unusual (it’s perfect for show-offs). I also want to say about the sound, it’s incredible, firstly the speakers themselves are very cool, and secondly, try connecting it to headphones, a completely different effect, after that you don’t want to listen to music from other devices. The screen is also very cool, as I understand it, there are 10 bits of color + Amoled (black is very black). I will continue on the merits. So, the screen is very cool, firstly, the screen ratio is 19.5 to 9, movies go perfectly, only a tiny stripe remains, but due to the perfect black color you don’t even notice whether it’s there or not. In general, I would do color correction on this device. A crash test of the glass showed that even if you break a mobile phone in two, the glass will hold up. Face unlock works instantly, you don't even need a finger scanner. Now to the disadvantages. !!! Unfortunately, we couldn’t do without them. There are several shortcomings, the first I want to mention is the Hertz screen, I’m sorry, of course, but you couldn’t finish it to the end? Why is it that at 120 and 144 hertz, when you don’t press on it, the screen either starts to dim or becomes brighter, all at once, and it’s very unpleasant when you take your finger off, then press it and the screen seems to turn on again, a strange thing, maybe I got a defect. 2 drawback is the GLASS, I don’t know if I can attribute this to a drawback, but walking along the beach with this phone it got scratched, of course, when you use it on the crib, nothing is noticeable, but when direct light hits, the scratches are quite annoying. And again, glass, it gets very dirty, both at the back and at the front, I don’t know what the problem is, but making glass at the back is stupid, I really needed an aluminium cover, or better yet a titanium one, to absorb heat. As for the heat, yes, it gets warm when playing some kind of pubg, it gets noticeably warm, I don’t know at what minute of the game, about an hour, but basically my snap 801 heated up in the same way, so this is again a problem with the processor (And COVERS!). Then I can’t help but note the SIM card tray, it would seem that there is something wrong with it, BUT IT FLEETS, and very much, and the main disadvantage is an ugly buzzing noise when vibrating. As for the cameras, there seem to be no problems with the cameras, but for some reason there are three of them, when Xiaomi already has 4 of them, etc., wide, regular 64mp and macro, there’s also a catch, what was the problem with putting it on wide, not 16 or whatever? the same 64 or at least the same sensor. It seems very stupid, the main camera takes photos of the atas and the one that is wide is worse in theory and its meaning is lost ._. Regarding the packaging, they put in an ugly case, its quality didn’t suit me at all, it looks good but it’s some kind of cheap plastic, and it doesn’t protect the mobile from getting dirty. Another drawback is that there is no water protection here, when all phones for this money, and even cheaper, have it. In general, decide for yourself whether to buy it or not, although there are some disadvantages, they are not so terrible; basically, I still don’t see any good alternatives to this phone. |
