I just jumped over the well-known and one might say standard FullHD resolution. I spent a long time on a 22-inch Philips with a resolution of 1680x1050 and immediately bought this QuadHD 2560x1440. The effect turned out to be powerful, I only had the same strong impressions when I switched from a square monitor (1024x768) to that same Philips 16:10. I often freelance and work from home. Therefore, a desktop on which you can simultaneously keep three full-fledged documents or browser windows open is not a whim for me, but a necessity. And this monitor allows you to do this without straining at all. With such a large 27-inch diagonal, the resolution of 2560x1440 looks very appropriate. The pixel density is quite acceptable, 109 pixels/inch, and an individual dot is neither too small nor too large. You can say that 0.23 mm is now my favorite size))) The matrix here is simple, made according to the TN principle, but as far as I can see, this technology has added a lot. The color rendition is quite reasonable and even the color gamut is quite at the level of good IPS and VA panels. The screen is fast, the response time is short, so there are no problems with clarity or blurring when the picture moves quickly - tested in Overwatch and Fortnite, I play them regularly. The backlight is LED, without flickering pulse width modulation, although it is most often used, the frequency has simply been increased to a kilohertz and the eye can no longer see it. The stand is simple but stable, the angle of inclination is adjustable and that's it. You can connect this monitor to almost any modern and not so modern computer; there is a whole bunch of connectors for this: VGA, DVI-D, Display Port and HDMI. The kit includes all interface cables except HDMI. This is where TN matrices have been and will always be weak: comfortable viewing angles. But in this monitor you can only notice this problem from an acute angle, and when you sit directly in front of the screen, this situation does not even arise. |
The conclusion is this: the monitor is definitely of good quality with normal color reproduction, with a large screen and a bunch of video outputs, too. I am 100% satisfied with the image. The picture is not dim, there is no glare from the sun. And I haven’t seen any backlight spots, although there is still a minimal amount.
